 		[Fanfic] Another Cloverfield 2 plot
yeah...
I know this has already got a topic but I'd rather not hijack someone elses story idea thread with my own ideas so I put them here, if this is a trout then I'll link this thread to the other one but overall this seems more convenient.

CAMERA RETRIEVED AT INCIDENT SITE "US-518"
AREA FORMERLY KNOWN AS "LAGUARDIA AIRPORT"


The Camera turns on and we look out a high window at a large oil tanker, upside down in the distance, (this is moments after the news broadcast) helicopters and tugboats are moving around the ship, in the background, barely visible behind the glare from a helicopter spotlight, a dark shape moves near the statue of liberty, there is a flash of sparks and silently groaning metal, one of the tugs pans its spotlight towards the statue, we see a glimpse of it revealing it has no head, along with a dark moving shape, which lunges at the ship, the light goes out. The camera operator jumps back from the window excitedly. looking over to his friend who is laughing, they consider this to be a sort of awesome show.
"Jake Did you see that!" the camera guy says,
"Dude what was that?"
"It looked alive."
"Yeah I saw it a womans voice answers seriously. The camera pans around to see an older teen girl.
"Relax, I'm sure its under control." Jake says patting her on the head, there is a whirling sound and the building is rocked by shockwaves, the glass blows in as a huge explosion (the one seen from Rob's roof) goes off near them, the girl is crying and the Jake runs over to her.
"Are you alright Ann?" He asks looking her over before seeing some nasty shards of glass in her back.
"Shit dude..." the camera guy says looking at the glass.
"Cam, go get so antiseptic." Jake says as starts gently pulling out the glass. Cam goes down the hall towards the bathroom, but stops to look out the window, he sees a cloud of dust sent up as a building collapses near battery park.
"Hey Jake we've got to go, there is some really freaky shit going down out there. Then the building shakes and the sprinklers go off. they run down the hallway which is starting to fill with smoke. They run into another group of people in the stairwell, the girl stops to hug another boy her age, they talk for a minute before the building shakes and everyone is nearly knocked off their feet. They run down and out of the building showing that they are on West Broadway, the camera pans wildly around looking at the crowds of people, and the burning buildings, there is a shout as a cluster of buildings collapse to their east, people are panicking, the girl (who by now we know is Jake's younger sister) is trying to contact their parents who had been downtown near the site of the explosion, she can't reach them.
"Jake I can't reach mom and dad."
"I'm sure their fine."
"But what are we going to do?"
"I don't know, I don't even know what's going on--" he is interrupted by a shout as the Woolworth building collapses in the distance.
"This is crazy man, we've got to get out of here." Cam says, as sirens are sounding all over the city.
"Yeah...Where?" Jake says.
"Who cares, out of Manhattan, anywhere is better then here with that...what is it?"
"I don't know I don't care, but lets go." the girl says dragging them along, Cam pans the camera around the ruined city as they walk. talking about various things like what route to take and where to go. At one point they come to a huge gap in the buildings, where something had plowed right through, there is a parasite clicky sound and the camera pans towards it but doesn't see anything, they keep going and get to the bridge.
(Just to recap, their group has 4 people, Cam the camera guy, Jake the brother, Ann the sister, and her unnamed boyfriend.)
The bridge scene plays out with them walking along talking about what might have happened to their parents, Cam sees Hud, connecting the two plotlines in that manor. Ann is playing with her phone trying to contact their parents, which she has been doing since they left the apartment. The bridge collapses and we hear Lily screaming for Jason as they run, splitting up and eventually meeting up somewhere nearby. Their visibly shaken by what had happened, and take a few minutes to recover, at this point Ann asks,
"Hey, where is Andrew?" (boyfriend)
"I thought he was with you." Jake says.
"She pulls her phone out and calls him, he says he's two blocks west of them, they go to meet him before heading for the Manhattan bridge with the other New Yorkers. the military is conducting the masses of people and leading them towards the bridge when suddenly a group of the SEATs jump off of a nearby building landing in the middle of the mass of people, Andrew gets lost in the crowd as they panic and try to get away from the critters, the soldiers can't do anything without hitting people, there are screams and panic, they run into a clothing store, being chased by one of the SEAT's, it jumps at Cam but Jake hits it with a clothing rack (those round kind, their actually pretty easily to topple), he breaks a metal pipe rack off the wall and impales the SEAT with it. Ann tries to call Andrew (I am realizing that their names sound cliche, 'Ann and Andrew' Rolling Eyes whatever go with it for now) he doesn't answer, they venture outside to find the street deserted and a lot of bodies lying around, including Andrew's , they have to pry Ann away from the body and start for the bridge, but another group of SEATs appears and they run. The things chase them for almost three blocks (this is taking them farther into the city) before they run into a group of soldiers who blast the SEATs. The soldiers tell them the city is being evacuated and direct them to an evac point a few blocks uptown. They encounter the monster on their way and run, hiding behind a pair of tanks as the monster rushes for them, a soldier tells them to run and they take off as the monster goes to work on the troops. They reach the chopper site (same place the other group was at except its a bit and the site is now busier, they board a Chinook with a bunch of other survivors and are airlifted to LaGuardia Airport, (lets say its around 0530 by now) the airport is a mess, with thousands of people coming in and thousands trying to get out, the group tries to contact their parents again and to their surprise they get an answer. their parents are a few miles south in JFK, the parents tell them to stay put and wait it out. they find a TV where a ton of people have crowded around watching the news as the army drops bombs on the monster (the B2 scene) everyone cheers but then the monsters arm rises out of the dust and smashes down Rob's chopper. there are a few gasps as they watch the helicopter spiral out of view. other choppers bank around heading away from it as it lunges out of the dust. The TV chopper is the closest and the monster flings a lightpost at it, there is a crash and the screen turns to static before switching back to the anchorwoman. there are shouts and people look outside, in the distance hundreds of planes fly high overhead. bombs start falling on Manhattan, first a few but before long the entire island is lit up, no one can see anything thats going on. by the time the attack is over, the city is simply burning ruins. helicopters circle but don't see anything.
Then the power fails as a huge explosion rises from the Edison Power Plant, followed by a few more. there is panic as people shout that its still alive, and its headed their way. everyone is trying to get out of the terminal and its absolute chaos. Cam and the others are separated and are shouting trying to find each other in the crowds. eventually they get out onto the runway and meet up. far at the other end there is an explosion and a plane tumbleweeds across the tarmac, before collapsing and bursting into flames. the monster approaches the terminal, they run back inside trying to get away, there is a huge explosion of glass as walls collapse. red and orange bombs burst behind a giant arm as military jets go on the offensive again. Ann screams and the roof falls at them, Cam pulls her into a coffee shop but didn't get to Jake who is crushed by debris. Cam has the camera peeking out the window where we get a full view of the monster, Ann and him are huddling in the corner, the monster moves away and Cam stands nervously.
"I think its gon--" A huge arm smashes down through the ceiling, Ann screams and the camera flashes to static, then goes black.

End.

I like it...you kept the same realisim, interwove the plots, ended it in a similar way...You gave what they gave but a little more...its good

 		u know what...i don't think i came up with it now

i made a post about it...but i've noticed a few others did too

so i take back any credit for it...but i hadn't seen anybody else use it before me...

Yea... we just had a big argument about this stuff in another thread... just slap a [FANFIC] tag on there and you should hopefully avoid any flak the newcommers may give you.

Pretty neat idea for the story though, I like how it meshes with the original plotline, and gives the SEAT's a little more cameratime.

 		I did. and yeah I tried to keep the plot true to the original, and not have it follow soldiers and kill the monster or some such heroics, that detracts from the movie's realism.
