Let me make the reasons for my departure clear.

In my opinion, we've looked the other way with Icarus for too long. Whenever I, or anyone else for that matter, disagrees with Icarus, the are personally attacked (Icarus apparently has some psychotic issues). Guess we all turned a blind eye because it wasn't us, or when it was us we were told to ignore it. I always thought that I had the support of my friends here, which made the stay somewhat bearable.

Anyway, I didn't bait Icarus. I didn't attack him first. Go back and read this thread. The first attack was his when he said my existance was a failure, that I was a failure. I can deal with that from Icarus, that's not something that would make me walk away. But I did want to see how much support I really did have around here, who really cared. So instead of turning away, ignoring it, yeah I defended myself for a change. Guess that makes me childish. And when someone who I thought was a friend poked holes in my defenses and not a one you had my back as everything I had done here was being called worthless. I simply said "good luck, everyone" and went on my merry.

So, since it's clear this group doesn't need me, and I no longer wish to be apart of it when discussions can't be done in a civil manner without resorting to personal attacks, I will say goodbye, but I will be watching.

Thank you to Neo, Amandel, Tresbien, Connie, and Mirror (Sorry Mirror! I knew I forgot someone!). Thanks for helping me see who my friends really were.

I feel bad that this has come as far as it has. I consider both sides as friends, especially outside of the boards. I had just typed some huge long speal about everyone getting along blah blah blah but flip it. I erased it because I just want to move forward with the game.

Glad you're back, glad we're moving on. You raise an interesting ethical point, Leith. I know that it's easier for me to ignore attacks on myself than it is to ignore attacks on other people. I can't stand seeing people get bullied. I don't know that I can avoid trying to intervene when others are getting badmouthed, but I'll try to be more tactful and less volatile.

I'm delighted to get back to THE GAME!!!

It's true that Unfiction is more oriented on the gaming than on the socializing. This works for me, personally, but I understand that you 48ers miss the social atmosphere of the 48 page. The mods have set this up so that we can have social threads, however, and I hope this serves to relieve some of your homesickness!
