This might be a complete longshot but we know that the professor and Brody are from the same hometown (as mentioned in Brody's blog) although the professor left before brody was born (I think). Since Brody's nephew is almost Brody's age - it would stand to reason that perhaps Laney and the professor were schoolmates. Could it be her death that haunts him? Maybe he is Brody's nephew's father (ok, that one really was a longshot). I just think there might be some connection here since it was mentioned that they are from the same hometown.

Tres, Brody has mentioned another professor for another movie many times.

We've never had confirmation it was the same person.

Ic, since I only posted about apple sauce guy, I assume you're referring to Titanium's post. Or are you saying he's not Wallace Breslaugh?

Titanium, I think there may be some connection between Brody's family and the prof. What clings to my thoughts is that V said he resembled her father.

Icarus, are you suggesting that it is the "other" professor that is from his hometown? I guess I am not clear on what you are saying. I am not referring to the other professor at all here, just subject 1.

Brody has mentioned two professors having similar experiences. We've never gotten confirmation they were the same.
