The Equation
... ??? !!!

I just kept doing it again and again until my brain stops to work and I got all the pieces on the base together... but I just can't associate the pattern with the marks on Da Vinci's... Also, I don't have 9 horizontal and 4 vertical pieces, but 7 horizontal and 6 vertical... Any clue or help about how to do this the right way ???

Please, if you have done the puzzle, let me know if its a dud so I can send it back.

I just got the puzzle in the mail today and I was trying to open the puzzle the way you said and I am not sure if it will work.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You said that you spun the top until you could pull a peg, but i am assuming you pulled a peg that wasn't the small "locking pin". You also said that if the puzzle is right side up it isn't in the hole in the top, but it goes into that hole when you turn it upside down. My locking pin is inside that hole when it is rightside up and upside down and it doesn't appear to slide a lot when it is rightside up or upside down.

So I'm not positive but I think yours is dud.

Re: Enigmatic Temple

Layani,

I just opened the Temple....and I can say after examining it, that your puzzle isn't broken....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
take another look at your puzzle and where the dowels you removed to see why you were lucky

Congrats

The Equation

OK so i've been pulling my hair out with this thing since Christmas now and it seems no matter how I rearrange the pieces I just can't get them to fit in the grid. I've read this thread in detail and taken note of all the hints.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I've solved the first puzzle and retrieved the relevant piece

And yet it still baffles me. I don't want to be told or shown the solution outright but perhaps a few pointers i.e where a specific piece goes so i've got a base to work from or two pieces that link together and how. Just something so i feel like i'm getting somewhere!!!!!

Thanks in advance

This is only for people who have already solved The Enigmatic Temple! It won't really spoil anything for you if you have not, but just in case...

Have you noticed that...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
underneath one of the pegs there is part of a circular object showing? I have tried to get the blocks apart but could not. I noticed that it moves if you shake it and seems like it can come out. I don't know if mine got unstuck, but I can slightly shake the set of blocks with the smaller locking peg. it seems like the only thing holding it down is a long screw, like the one holding the top slab on. I am thinking about cutting the wood just because I am curious! (not really). I have looked at The Pillars of Atlantis and ... WOW it seems far fetched. I think that you DEFINITELY need that piece (or something else) to solve it.

Also, for those of you who have started The Pillars of Atlantis, how are we supposed to know when it is solved?

enigmatic temple

Kavin

(Please don't read this unless you have solved enigmatic temple)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I also saw the circular piece. that piece allows the lock to unlock, so that is why it is there. I don't think that it is needed for the next puzzle, but I guess we will find out.

As for the pillars, i have no idea when you will know when you are finished. Do you have any insight from what is on the scroll??

 Enigmatic Temple

The Enigmatic Temple is kicking the crap out of me. Really. Solved Da Vinci in 1 hour. Solved Legend of the King in about fifteen minutes. Have not solved The Equation. The Enigmatic Temple? I have been working on it for days. WHAT am I missing? I'm tempted to say, "Oh, well, this must be broke." But, I know I am just missing something. I've turned the columns and twisted the locking bar and shaken it and tried twisting the lid over as much as I could thinking that would trigger something. Anywa, I had no idea this one would be so tough on me. Can one of you--the Elect--give me some hints? Pretty please?

The Equation

OK following on from my previous post, i've had no responses on this, i'm just willing to accept the answer outright since i'm very close to shoving the damn thing back in it's box and putting it on my wardrobe. I admit defeat with this one, totally and utterly bemused by it, i've got so close so many times but not quite within the boundaries.

If someone could pm me with either a big clue or just a picture so i can see how the pieces are arranged i'd be much obliged Smile

I have recently discovered these series of puzzles and they seem very interesting to me. Entering on the web http://www.sacredmythsandlegends.com/ it appears that the spanish version is coming soon, when is it about to be realesed? Does anybody know anything about this?

By the way-they posted a hint on the website FINALLY!

Hint (for Pillars of Atlantis):
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The opposite always equals same

I have no idea what to make of it.

I ordered the next three from www.toysgamespuzzles.com They had them for a reasonable price. All three are now waiting for DHL to come off holiday and deliver to me. Talk about frustrating...they have been here for 4 days now. I hate holidays! I want my puzzles.

The enigmatic temple

I have to say, that was dissapointing. 2 minutes of play and I figured that one out. $30 plush shipping for 2 minutes. A waste of money in my book. But now for the hint inside.
