Sera goes on a convention spree

'Allo Unfiction! Been a while! ^_^ Probably no one remembers me, but I'm Colin "Seraphina" Brennan, and I was the nutjob who ran Project Gateway, Wildfire Industries/Synagoga Chronicles, and did some writing for .hack//fragmented_twilight.

Just wanted to drop a post in, saying that I'll be around for a couple conventions this year, and would love to hang out with some ARG peoples. One of which I'll actually be speaking and AND talking about ARGs! Woot!

Mmmmm... breakdown:

Feb. 14-16 - Washington D.C. - Katsucon - http://www.katsucon.org/

Your standard Japanese anime convention, where I'll be attending without a costume for once because I just didn't have time to get one together.

April 11-13 - Pittsburgh, PA - Tekkoshocon - http://www.tekkoshocon.com/

Again, a Japanese anime convention, but this one with the bonus of an ENTIRE WORKSHOP dedicated to what Alternate Reality Games are and how to run a small scale one for your friends/club. 1 and a half hours of workshop, to be exact!

I haven't gotten an exact time for when the panel will be, but it will be entitled "Alternate Reality Games and Anime - Meshing Genres and Making Games". It will be a great discussion for the newbie to the alternate reality game as a player, and give you some insight into what it's like behind the curtain with basic issues such as game design, writing, preparation, and timing.

August 8 - 10 - Baltimore, MD - Otakon - http://www.otakon.com

And, of course, the anime convention to end all anime conventions - Otakon. I'll be once again attending and hanging out, but there's a group I might be with who are interested in getting a table... more information on that as I get it.

So... if anyone's gonna be at any of these conventions, just leave me a PM and I'll hopefully be able to arrange a hookup. If alot of people will be there, we can arrange a group hangout on the thread here. Very Happy

Hope to meet some of you!

~Sera Brennan

Nice to see you are still alive and kicking, PG was one of my fav grassroots games. You and Labfly have proven that you may have to be crazy to run an ARG solo, but it can be done!

*gives Randomesis a hug* It's good to see you too, dear. Very Happy Happy to see familiar faces. Perhaps one day I'll finally get back around to being behind the curtain, but alas, that time is not now. Smile Someday.
