[PRESS]Reeves, Paramount talking Cloverfield 2!

The camera would turn off just as they become attained by the real Chuai Station security. Then the camera would be turned back on when they are in a contained room in the tanker. At that point, one of the characters would explain what happened and what's happening to them. Just as he's about to go into detail about what was discovered, the captain and a few of the crew burst through the door and demand and threaten the environmentalists trying to find out 'what they did, because the Chuai station collapsed.'

While they're being berated and even slapped around a bit, the camera is on the ground facing the interrogated crew. Just as the captain is about to reach back and hit them one more time, an 'all too familiar roar' is heard, then the entire vessel is completely rocked. Everyone [environmentalists and crew] stop what they're doing in complete shock, as if they were waiting for some sort of answer or final blow to come to them. But nothing. The captain and crew rush to the top of the tanker to see what the hell just hit them, leaving the door opened behind them... so the environmentalist crew decide to join them on the top.

Once on the top they see a bunch of the crew pointing to the back of the ship. A moment later the shoulder of MGP, along w/ his face bursts through the surface of the water and in a frightening moment, it brushes against the side of the ship, knocking everyone to the ground and some right off the ship. But- along w/ doing so MGP knocks of a bunch of those parasites, just as that happens, the captain immediately turns to the environmentalists and tells the surrounding crew to put them back in the 'containment area' and lock the door behind them.

Back in the containment area, just as they start to go into complete 'freak-out' mode, screams are heard from the crew. Shooting, screaming, and footsteps running back and forth [along w/ the sound of the parasites running by and making that sound they make]. Eventually it all starts to die down and the lights eventually get turned off. One of the environmentalists gets the door open to find the hallways filled with blood and body parts everywhere. Scary parts come and go, they fight off the parasites that come around every corner and out of every vent and such and finally make their way to the Navigation center. Looking out [it's night time] they see huge flashes of light, explosions in the distance.

They survive the night

the next day they attempt to find the communications center to radio the coast guard. Again, they have to fight for their life. Along the way they find a couple survivors and some flares. Reaching the communications station they find that the Coast Guards have been trying to reach them. Distress is sent, and they alert them of something big following them, in which they are informed that the military is dealing w/ that as they speak.

Finally, Night has come and they know that the boast has been coasting ever since the incident. Their goal is to reach the surface of the ship and find a way off the tanker any way possible. One of the survivors die along the way [get bit and explodes as they reach the surface.] They reach the top of the tanker to see that they're in view of Coney Island [and the SOL]. Just as they begin to lower the lifeboat, they hear that familiar roar in the distance. They get as far as they can before they see monster's rear up and begin to capsize the ship, sending a huge wave their way.

The camera turns back on

as they turn around to see the monster breach the coast and start its rampage through the city.

Then comes many different angles of familiar scenes we've seen before, more issues w/ the parasites, and learning the same and some added information about 'the hammer-down protocol' from an individual soldier [whose entire squad was obliterated by the monster/parasites] and even a particular scene that shows the monster get planted w/ bombs by the 'Stealth Bomber' and it bursting out of the smoke and explosion incidentally hitting a helicopter that was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Still being too deep in Manhattan, they steal a vehicle and do a mad dash out of the city, having a brief face crossing w/ the monster as it makes its way towards Central Park. Across town, and almost out they watch as they begin to drop the first bombs on the monster and the city... The explosions begin to reach out closer and closer to them. The last moments show the flames filling up the back window's view and screams of fear.

The camera turns back on, showing NYC at a much safer distance, w/ the remaining survivors walking towards a military safe-zone. The battery begins to die, but just before it begins to die an extremely pissed off roar is heard in the background as a huge mass starts to rise up from the ashes of NYC. [end]

I DEFINITELY wanted more parasites, that's why I like my idea about our characters being trapped on the tanker w/ the knocked off parasites.

Yeah im not so concerned about more MGP...it would just take away from that realistic aspect they strive for...but more parasites wouldnt, they just add to the drama of the current situation

 		if there ever be a sequel. it probably wouldn't be something you guys thought about.

i mean, look at Cloverfield. It's COMPLETELY original. Completely in its own world. Who could ever think of Cloverfeild from the scriptwriting to the direction?!

It's an awesome, awesome movie!
