Well dang. This looked like it might be a fun game the way it started, but I hate reading AIM/IM logs. I just don't have the patience. Hopefully I'll have some spare time to lurk.

I think he sent an e-mail over to admin saying that he was Participant 13, just a few days before they said that P13 was dead. I'm guessing coincidence, but I'm not sure. Either way, no one from the site ever designated us a number until I became 170 tonight I don't think.

Well, I just read 18 pages of thread. Smile

The game seems intriguing and it looks like there's a vast backstory for us to discover. The chat logs are short and well-written, so I suppose I wouldn't mind reading them.

Advice to PMs: keep your chat logs short, like they are. Or I'll cry.

Finally: the wiki is awesome; great job, you guys!

Seems to have been typed using a Dvorak keyboard...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
has decreased to 0.45. participants are to continue with their duties until notified.

I'm not sure what that number in the message is about.
Is this a continuation of the message we already have?

way to go driz. I was looking all over for the link to rot39 and couldn't find it. if it is a continuation of the message, which it sounds like it is, there seems to be at least one word missing.

Quote:
Participants should be warned external forces are trying to compromise the integrity of project ophiuchus. Thankfully past attempts have been unsuccessful and our servers have managed to withstand multiple denial of service attacks. However, the predicted success of phase _____ has decreased to 0.45. Participants are to continue with their duties until notified.

eta: if this is the case then the number means that the predicted success has decreased to 45%. and the missing word is probably twelve (12)

Very nice! I just finished building a ROT-39 VB example when I realized that a couple of the characters (.,) were outside of what is generally used. Have to remember this one - learning a lot this week!

I am guessing all Skype communication is over for 2nite. But can someone ask about Karl and Sergei Popolov.

I did. R169 denied all knowledge of him.

Well, I checked the site, and now it is:
Quote:
Phase 12:2361 Landed

Still trying to work out what to say tonight. I have an idea, but don't know what to say. Hopefully something comes up storywise that I can spin into my tale.

Join the club. Phillip (can't remember you're username, sorry, his SN is Phillip) is going to tell us the password when he manages to weasel it out of R169, as I used up my excuses already (I told him I was very scatterbrained and couldn't remember it).
I just have to remember to keep calm xD
Let's try to contact him at different times of day, though-- he was getting suspicious when I talked to him last time, mentioned that there had been "a lot of contact tonight".
Hope R169, at least, isn't reading this thread xD So far it appears he/she hasn't...whatever you do, don't mention Unfiction while talking to him, or he'll realize that we're faking it Confused

That'd be me. It's actually 1 L in my name, and it's more like IF I can get the password out of him Laughing
I'm lurking on Skype right now waiting for him, so if you want to try and give me some a advice, give me a shout. I'm cidhighwind767 on there.

Remember that this forum is OOG and even though the PM is reading it, (very likely), it should never be mentioned IG. This is with any ARG.

EDIT: Who just stickied all the trailheads???? LOL
