Myabe they spit stuff out instead of sucking in?...like they suck in but also spit out? Would explain the stuff flying from the explosion and and SoL head...Btw when i saw again yesterday it seems as though the "comets" from the explosion in the beginning happen twice...once at the explosion and again when they are running towards the choppers

Yeah, but I just can't see a monster that's supposed to be so 'realistically' made having any of the following:

A second mouth that eats people on its chest
Tentacles that suck up people... on its chest
Tentacles that FUCKING SPIT COMETS on its chest
Tentacles that have joints

Like I said, I could be wrong. It's too early to call at this point. I just think that it pushes MGP too far into the realm of the old Toho monsters... of course, this is kinda what JJ wanted...
Still, in a movie that's presented in a realism style, I'd want the monster to have a strong element of realism to it.

But anyhow, here's what I think the people-suckin' chest is:

Or not. Let's just say that Hasbro's security with their Asian factories are rather...Lacking. My guess is that we'll see the testshot of the toy somewhere in June/July, maybe sooner.

 		I'm wondering if Hasbro will be the only to make a figure of such scale. It's possible that another company such as Bandai may be inspired to develop a similar product after it's release with even better detail, or at least cheaper price.

There's no doubt smaller, more compact versions of this model will be produced afterwards, in case anyone decides to cheap out a little Razz

$100 is quite a bit for a figurine, though...

 		please remember this is the special collectors edition of the toy that can only be ordered online. i'm sure hasbro will do a standard retail edition that cost much less. perhaps $49?

I dunno... that idea of a giant monster attacking pretty much leaves the realm of realism wide open for imagination. Granted, I'd rather have claws on it's chest just as much as the next person... but this is different and that's exactly what they were going for right?

 		I guess, but as I've said before, if the monster was designed to be real and the movie was presented in a 'realistic' fashion, taking a trait that no other creature on the face of the planet has and using it seems out of place. After all, even though the thing is shaped weird and massive and crazy, things seem to fit--even the possibility of two small, useless arms on its chest.

but if its suckers you could say that it was kind of like a whale that eats krill and shit all day, so those could suck krill.

Ok what if the parasites bite the Monsters prey and it explodes and the monster "sucks" up the blood with his smaller arms. Just a thought.

Doesn't seem like he could get quite enough blood, right? Plus, the monster could get plenty of blood without having to suck it up. Plus, he lives in the ocean. Can the parasites swim? And, the parasites weren't exactly under his control. How's he supposed to get blood from the subways?

Not a likely theory, but...who knows?
