Last.fm group for SilverLadder Why Not? I've started a SilverLadder group on Last.fm
It will keep track of what we listen to and possibly turn us onto new music we're not familiar with, based on the listening habits of our diverse passenger list.
http://www.last.fm/group/SilverLadder
It's currently set to "OPEN" registration, but we'll likely clamp it down to "member approval" once we get settled to keep out Korporate spying.
Don't want to join? OK.

I joined.... But I've been told I have a horrible taste in music.

It doesn't matter what other people think about your taste in music. As long as you enjoy it.
It's interesting to compare profiles and see how much you have in common with other passengers. Fe and I have very similar listening habits, while Analogwatch and I have very little in common musically. Nobody is right or wrong, we're just getting to know each other.
Once we get 10 people, (we need 1 more) it will begin tracking our habits as a group.

It's funny, since my musical taste is so broad, I actually rank as "very low" with a LOT of people. I only get Super with the other obsessive Muse fans.
Your music taste doesn't suck, Sythys. If it makes you happy, it's great taste in music.

Has anyone considered emailing the cards about this and asking them to join us on there? Or would that be a line they can't cross?

I sent the 2's a link to the group.
I told them since they shared their music with us, this is our chance to return the favor.
Doubt if they're allowed to join, since they'd have to either have card-specific profiles, or run the risk of exposing themselves.

haha fe you're the only one I didn't score low or very low with >< we're rocking a 'high', though!
That makes us awesome! I think Val and I are "Very High", and Nikki jumped up since she's been listening to my playlist.
In regards to the cards being able to join the group or not, they've been pretty weird about what they can and can't do. Like when I e-mailed them about something simple like the Frappr map, they more or less said they couldn't do it. It's like MySpace and Silver Ladder are the only things they can really "share" with us or something, which is a total bummer. It's worth a shot, though.

(double post to bump thread)
I must say that, after seeing our first charts as a group, Radiohead, U2, and Royksopp (especially impressed about this one) tying for top artist for us is absolutely satisfying. We're pretty awesome.

2 weeks later Radiohead #1 again. Pixies and Royksopp (still think this is random...) tied for second. Still impressed...You guys are lucky I forgot to scrobble the stuff from my iPod this week.

You're unlucky I can't scrobble from my iAUDIO. That thing has some brilliant music I'd love to get on SOME form of chart.
EDIT: http://www.last.fm/user/eranmane/ is my profile
It's a shared profile. It has all of my listening history since my brother installed iTunes quite some time ago. But since he has his own laptop, his stuff is starting to decline. But seriously, some of the stuff there I don't listen to or even know I have on iTunes...

I was doing some maintenance on our group; like connecting some of the artists that are perpetually in our top 10 and labels they're on/that I work for ( ) and what not. It reminded me that I should bump this thread so anyone that's not involved yet can add themselves. I'm willing to bet that we're the only ARG on the block with anything like this, or even a reason to use it.
A lot of us use Winamp and iTunes just kind of running in a constant fashion, and it'll set itself up to scrobble to Last.fm automatically, so you can participate without even going out of your way.
Okay, enough with the advert, but still. It's there. Check it!
