[Wild Spec] Okay. The cat.

This is complete stream of concousness here. I have no conclusions from this, but it *looks* like no one else has brought it up.

Philo Taylor Farnsworth was the inventor of the electric television. He built the first working model on September 10th, 1928 in San Francisco. The building he did it in is a minor landmark; they even have a big plaque in front of the building.

Currently there's at least three companies in the building. At least one of them is an advertising company. I don't know what the adress is, but I'm damn well going to find out in the morning.

Again, I'm just putting this out there in the rare event that it means something and that someone else can use it.

I put "Farnsworth" and "bees" into Google and came up with this link.

Lucius Farnsworth seems like a pretty obscure comic book character, but it is interesting that his occupation is listed as "Beekeeper, millionaire".

A tenous connection between a cat named Farnsworth who lives with a beekeeper, and a comic book character who is a beekeeper -- but maybe there is something there.

So? In what years would Sept. 10 fall on a Tuesday?

Let's see... The Human/mutant beekeeper millionaire mutates into a cat to sneak into the household of another beekeeper. To get the secret of her Black Button Sage Honey? And vandalizes her site to distract her so he can... somebody else take it from here Very Happy

Wait, don't.

Farnsworth/cat/bees. Noted. Locked.

[TROUT] Hotmail

Could it be the Farnsworth is mentioned just to give us a hotmail hacking clue? To reset a password on Hotmail, you need two pieces of information. One is the zip code (which we can get for Aunt M via a whois). The other is the answer to a "secret" question. One of the questions is "What is the name of your favorite pet?" It seems likely that Aunt M's favorite pet is Farnsworth.

Of course judging from Dana's note that all M's hotmail has vanished, perhaps this clue has already been looted?

Hacking the Hotmail account isn't even in the picture anymore.

In addition to the tele, Philo T. Farnsworth allegedly invented a fusion reactor of sorts. Not sure how much I believe the rumor, but it relates to the Bungie/Halo/Starship AI stuff pretty well. Probably a dead end from here.

Quote:

With the Fusor, Farnsworth produced stable fusion reactions for periods of up to ten minutes in a "reaction that was easily controlled by the operator." In other words, Philo T. Farnsworth produced 30 years ago the kind of fusion that is just a glimmer in the eye of today's scientists.
