[Question] How much longer do you think... Cloverfield will remain in theaters? With cloverfield bringing in only a meager 3 to 4 mil last weekend, and less then $200k yesterday, how much longer do you think cloverfield will stay in theaters?
Im hoping it goes one more weekend for the push to hit $80m domestically.
On a similar note... Do you think they might release official images of the monster once Cloverfield leaves theaters? I bet thats what Hasbro is waiting for.

Well, I my theater is taking it out tomorrow, and it's only been showing once a day since last Thursday. I went with my brother on Friday, and only two other people came in.
I think it'll do really well on DVD, though.
As for the images thing, I hadn't even thought about it. I think maybe not until the DVD release.
Edit: whoops, some fuck'd up grammer shit...

not just a loud sound system, but a loud stereo surround-sound system

How about 7.1 surround sound with a 62".

My buyers remorse from my 1200 watt surround sound is quickly going away....

Only 7.1? Why not go 8.1 Surround...it's like a whole integer better. Plus, Cloverfield wouldn't be done justice on a 62", you'd have to have an 80" at least to even begin to get it. The largest that's available right now would be good...that's a 102", I believe, assuming no one else has come out with a new one since I heard last.

8.1? would you just add a center rear to that mix?
Left front (1) | Center (2) | Right front (3)
------------------------------------------------
Left middle (4) | Subwoofer (.1) | Right middle (5)
------------------------------------------------------------
Left Rear (6) | Center Rear? (8?) | Right rear (7)
You dont need THAT much clarity from the back, lol.
Btw, our 62" fills up half the room vertically... lol.

Is it still in theaters?
With the shoddy (once again) advertising this movie has been given, I thought it had been pulled after the 1st week. Is Hillary's former campaign manager running the promo for this movie?

Actually, to be honest I'd have to rig up 14.2, and then invite the whole neighborhood in just to completely screw with their heads.
That'd be great...have speakers hanging from the ceiling, and under the floor, and shit, lol.
And, guerra001, I only have a 17", so don't worry about it, lol. 'Course, that's the only thing that'll fit on my dorm-room desk next to my VCR, and DVD player, and laptop, and scanner/printer/fax, and phone, and piles of week-old pizza.
