I stopped reading at "alot".

That's just not funny.

You really got some issues with that huh?

Yeah, ever since a retart on another forum said to me "u r stupid alot is one word not two" it's irritated me.

I've even seen some people take the faulty logic further and write 'alittle', which is really stupid.

God, that's funny, nobody's ever purposely tried to wind me up by using non-words which I just mentioned I have issues with! How clever and original of you!

You're not alone. After years of using "alot" myself, it now drives me crazy, as well, when someone spells it as one word.
I'm a particularly tough person when it comes to spelling/saying things right. I mean, my teacher almost threw me through a wall when I corrected his pronunciation of "Khomeini".

I hate reading things that just don't make sense. I vomited all over my keyboard because I was sick to begin with.

My girlfriend had a boss when she was working in a distribution agency who kept correcting her spelling of "a lot", this was in a spreadsheet she was supposed to be sending to the heads of all the supermarket companies. VIPs.

Needless to say she changed it back when the boss wasn't looking.

Apparently the company went bust after she left.

I will fix your grammer now:

Almost as ironic as the time I told my mother that she was a bad parent. Shortly thereafter I stepped on my toddler brother.

Oops.
