What is this "foot-ball" you speak of?
I understand there's some sort of advertizing festival traditionally played on televised moving picture machines across the United States known as America on this day...

I was going to say "If you have to guess, that is" and point you to this thread but I see Rekidk didn't post in a very future-proof way in there
ETA: Oh wait, see, I knew he posted it somehwere... clicky

Ah, but how does one pronounce Giskard? "Guieeeschare'D" would be my guess...
Ah, i'm just still bitter about Jamesi's brutal mispronounciation of SirQuady way back in ARGnetcast #3.
(for the record: SirQwahdee)

I'm actually not really sure how Asimov ever intended Giskard's name to be pronounced, but I don't think he was thinking of the French variety (like Giscard d'Estaing), because he gave his characters very Russian-sounding last names (Giskard is R. Giskard Reventlov).
I've been going for the same pronunciation as 'discard', with a 'gh' at the beginning... (mostly because everyone at ARGFest did so too )

Thankfully, Sassypants is a little more user-friendly.
That's what she said.

I love how that phrase has gone from stupid male high school humor to mainstream.
Hearing supposedly mature adults say it in public is quite possibly one of the more funny things I've experienced.
(note: In no way was I insinuating that krystyn is and or is not either mature or an adult. Thank you.)

Used out of context though, SirQuady, it takes on new humor- take this example from my wife(that's what she said)-
Wife: You're such an idiot sometimes! I mean, what thought process goes through your head when you decide to take the Jeep, the FAMILY CAR off roading?! And don't say "at least this will go where the Honda won't(that's what she said)" because that's still STUPID! I mean... ARGHHHHH!
Me: That's what she said.
Wife: WHAT?!
Me: I bought you jewelry.
