I've tried just about every scientology related word I can think of and I'm getting nothing.
Hubbard, Thetan, Xenu, Tom Cruise, and many many others.
the few clues that are there basically imply to "come closer to the light" - it would seem the answer is in the image...
anyone?

My first guess was "Free the fallen... Angels of the devils bar" lyrics by the group Ash. But that was quashed.
This is reminding me of the ethanhaas stuff a little...
This was in the source code.

Does any of that mean anything?
Besides the fact that they bothered to stick in the last line about "keep searching"?
And if it's saying the answer is in the picture, I'd think it's gonna be one of those things where we kick ourselves in the head when we figure it out.
By "coming closer to the light" (moving my face closer to my monitor) I've noticed things that appear to be watermarks of faces, but that could just as easily be patterns in the smoke in the image.

One of the few things people try here is searching the source codes of websites and it didn't paste something along the lines of again, it being, right in front of you...
Could the image possibly be destegged or w/e?
There's definitely what appears to be faces or a face in the photo

I'm familiar with checking the source code - that's the one thing I had done before I got here Figured it didn't need to be said b/c it's the first thing that anyone will do.
It's when you use words like "desteg" that I'm left in the dark. I don't know graphic design or photo editty programs. Also whatever it is that you do to sound files to find what's hidden in them (do those get "destegged" too?)

I believe so. I just tried uncamouflaging the pic but it said either I needed a password or it wasn't stegged... I've also tried changing the photo to black and white.
Not sure what else to try to be honest.

did you try any of the four urls as the password?
also:
Hubbard
Scientology
Xenu
Thetan
Light
There's plenty more, but those are the obvious ones - i dont' have the uncamo program (and I'm on an old comp so probably couldn't run it) or I'd dl it and do it myself - mostly I don't want to come up with 5 million possible passwords and make you waste your whole night on it.[/i]

Personally I don't think the photo's stegged...
I mean I KNOW I'm not thinking laterally but logically if the site's PW Protected the photo wont be... I dunno

Whatever it is, I doubt it has the blessing of the "church".
A failed attempt returns:
Quote:
Sorry, but it appears your Theotan level is dwindelling. Come closer to the Light and try again.
Which wasn't even spell checked.
Yes, people really do look at/consider that kind of stuff, kiddies.
So listen up in English class.

I was actually wondering if the two poorly spelled words (scientology enthusiasts now it's spelled Thetan) were a hint at something, but the only extra letters are an o, l, and e, and those three don't make up much in terms of combination.
Also, got word from someone on another forum that it's not "there" (from the source code: "the answer is there" - I felt like an idiot for not thinking of it myself).
Anyone who knows far more about graphics than I do have something that can look for faded images/watermarks?

Almost think there's something to be seen with the naked eye (esp. with the clues of "keep looking") -
under the letters "dell" (in dwindelling) it almost looks like there's a reptilian face. Does anyone else see it (or anything else like it) or have I just been staring at this screen way too long and way to close?

I got the answer on my second try.
The answer is "eldurs".
How did I know this? I looked at the google cache of the page which had that word all over it. Simple. =P

y'know, I searched "lronhubbardisright" in google, but didn't bother with the other 3 - now I feel kinda silly.
SO - I wonder if I signed up to get more information about an ARG or if I'm now on the mailing list for the genuine Reformed Church of Scientology.
*sigh*

I also got the word Eldurs this morning before coming here... Now just awaiting some kind of email confirmation or whatever.
I too though am a bit concerned as to whether or not this is a real scientology thing.
Although by them creating the names LRonHubbardwasright.com AND LRonHubbardwaswrong.com - I'm guessing it's an ARG.
