I'm am SO on EVERYONE'S SIDE here. I'm hearing everyone! I'm listening! I don't want to be horrid, I just want to confirm Sanctum's irrelevance objectively. leave no stone unturned and all that. We don't need TM, I just need to borrow someone's sign in information for a few minutes, then you can ban me again by changing the password. I'm not asking for anything complex, why the resistance?

First off, amandel, NEVER shorten Valentines Day into VD, it makes it sound blatantly wrong even though technically VD is also "celebrated" that day.

Next on my list of debotchery, the sanctus has been listed as OOG. Take it up with TM when she shows up but if you have any sense of morality you'll make sure that no one overwhelms her with questions after just coming back from surgery. I understand the anxiousness but at this point in the game, worry about this is dead pointless, ESPECIALLY when things are ramping up (I.E. 48hoursinpurgatory.com updates).

This is the time to be together, not split apart once again and I'll be damned if I let it happen again.

Nobody's gonna be split apart! This is just a game!!! We're all just following leads!
From what I can see in the clues, the PMs are encouraging us to look inside us. One potential interpretation of that is to look inside our forums.
I wanna see inside your forum, Will. I don't want to hurt it, be a member of it, compromise its integrity, or damage its function. I don't want to sneakily spy, read personal messages, or leave dirty fingerprints on your windows. I don't want to bad mouth your forum, cast aspersions on it, challenge it, or let my cat pee on its rug. I just want to SEE it in order to verify, as an objective non-member, that it is not a lead.
This isn't a fight. It's also not a social crisis. It's me avidly wanting to follow a clue and being baffled by why I'm being prevented. And nobody's angry, by the way. You guys are still all my favorite digital valentines.

The deal is simple: we were told if what was discussed in the Sanctus, left the Sanctus, the game would end. End of discussion. Until TM or the PMs change ANYTHING, you will be given no information. NOTHING. Let it rest if you want to keep on playing.

I apologize for bumping this thread when it was sinking so quickly. I just need to have my say in all of this.

In wake of the Trailmaster's recent tragedy, it was revealed that the "sanctum" was still in full operation despite the fact that we all were told MONTHS ago that it was dissolved. To me, that is highly deceptive, and I do not care for it.

Many of the OG's are likely to remember the long rant I posted about the Inner Sanctum (I seem to remember that I was the one that first dubbed them with that title, though I am probably recalling it differently). At the time, I was highly opposed to the idea of two tiers of player involvement. My feelings for that remain as strong now as they were then.

But the game is different now than it was back then. In the forming days of 48HIP, the idea that a select few would get information that was withheld from and/or filtered down to the rest of us was unacceptable. I recall saying that I did not want to participate in this adventure if I was only going to be fed scraps left by the Sanctum.

In light of the Sanctum's continued existence despite our awareness, it now appears that the Sanctum is a necessary component to the execution of the story/game. I cannot fathom why it is needed, but only because I do not have the benefit of knowing what is happening within it. It is clear that some members of our team have been operating with inside information. Only time will tell if such lack of disclosure is justified.

I do not defend the existence of the Sanctum, nor am I pleased that they are still in operation. But if this organization is crucial to the execution of our quest, then there is no point in bitching about it. On the other hand, I (for one) am not at all happy when I am lied to. That is where my current ire lays.

There was a time in this game when I was a top-ten contributor to the forum. At the time our original site was shut down, I was still in the top twelve. Since the move to uF, my participation has declined sharply. There are many reasons why I am far less involved than I once was. My career has taken some sharp turns lately, my free time is not nearly what it once was. Equally, my motivation to contribute here has waned. Partially because of such drastic changes in how this game is played; partially because there seems to be a shrinking degree of focus and goals.

Between the first days on IMDb and today, we have been steered to work towards all kinds of tasks, yet we never truly reach any of them before we are driven onto a new course. Help Brody avoid Veronique's death... Submit video applications for the documentary... Keep Brody from jumping into Boston Harbor... Form street team(s) to promote 48HIP... Find Brody... Etc. I admit that I have very little experience with ARG's/Chaotic Fiction, but it seems to me that we have so many chapters that end in the middle. After awhile, it just gets to be too much to keep up with.

Anyway, that is my rant. I will still be keeping up as I can.

im sort-of a new guy here but this is too far out of hand. if the sanctum is an essential part of this experience then let it be. but if people need to know that this sanctum is not part of a problem, solution, or clue to the whole thing then let them see for themselves. and not allowing them(yes heather i am talking about you) just fuels the fire for suspicion, so either wait for TM to come back or just let us see what is going on so we can continue.

Heather, let me make myself clear that i mean no ill will towards you. quite the opposite. i think you are a great investigator and contribute greatly to the boards and deserve some answers. if you can please wait for TM then we can all see what is going on and maybe be led in the better direction

and for the record, to any sanctum members, the clue to look inside us can be interpreted many ways, that is why its called a CLUE. I'm not being mean but as a whole group, a whole forum, seeing two tiers of involvement would arise suspicion. so please do not be mad when we look at all of the possibilities to find more meaning to this clue.
