 		[TROUTYTROUT/OT/SPEC] Capitalism.org: FAKE better than REAL?
I'm starting to think this "fake" site is better than the "real" game. Yeah, yeah, "not this again," I know... I am the last to talk... but... still...

So new update on http://www.CAPitALLism.org . I'm thinking about joining their CAP for the sheer audacity of it.... Very Happy lol, makes sense though as a group.

Click to enter the site, the update I've noticed is in the footer . Takes my breath away.

 		The part I find interesting is their Declaration of Independence pdf which is quite bizarre and has a strange 7th message on the bottom with another URL with upper and lower caps.

Check it out. I think it worth taking one more look before this site is finally dismissed as not in-game.
the strange poup from the footer has a link to it towards the bottom -

on this page the link says click to open(the strange PDF, not the manifesto)

I cant really tell if the site is in game or not by how strange it is.
Just thought I would add this to the discussion.

Why is it every post linking to this site is made by a guest? Usually a guest who claims the site's amazing or intriguing or wow-wow-wow maybe this is something else! It is something else, for sure, but nothing to do with the game. Nor is it breathtaking. Amateurish is closer. Certainly lame.

This is why we need a trout bin. Not for deleting messages, which I understand is against the forum's ethics, but for putting the half-assed attempts at self-publicity where they belong.

 		i think that this topic has been discussed as false and it is proven that its a dead end.... if you want to lose your time on that (unless you are really interested in the site contents) its not our problem, just try to not open a lot ot threads without proven relationship with the in-game websites..

yeah, i know it's like at this point I don't even care if they are "real" or "fake" or not. it's pretty freakin interestin. i'm leaning toward "real" though... but in a way that connects later on in the game. i think perhaps the site was caught before they were ready.

oooo, perhaps this ARG is halo's way of introducing a real site in real life with a real purpose... a purpose that will outlive the game... which explains why it was registered earlier than the rest of the game.

We're all in the arg together. I'm just passing along interesting things, which makes ARGs interesting in the first place. Otherwise I wouldn't be here.

Um. That isn't irony. But anyway, sure, we're all in this together. Which means it's fair that I convey a certain amount of suspicion when someone new posts an OMG-OMG-check-this-marvellous-site-out without explaining how or why there are any concrete links to what we have already, above and beyond some adolescent "MY SITE IS POSSESSED BZZZZZ BEE BEE BZZZ" meandering.

Yea, regarding your quote, that is a funny but super-simplistic reduction of ilovebees (although the "screamthroughmediahaze" line was inserted by "hackers" calling themselves "The Window Washers" later on). I don't know if someone has been tracking a history of the CAPitALLism.org footer, but I've noticed at least three changes over time:

1) Initial post by real webmaster
2) Subversion by The Window Washers
3) Addition of new line at the very top (which I was the first to post on today).


Besides simple bee references, the vast majority of the rest of the site is incredibly more complex and different. Even more complex than Dana, at this point. See as an example the comments about the Declaration of Independence that was cited earlier in this thread.

 		Window Washers plea to "dis connect"
Please no flames. I promised to update, for all of us who've been holding this discussion off forum. I noticed the CAPitALLism update in the wiki.

http://www.capitallism.org main site has been intercepted, holding a bunch of pictures posted by the Window Washers. They also tell ilovebees fans to "dis connect."

I think there is a deeper riddle there, perhaps it's own seperate ARG. But I'm not so positive anymore that it is related. The fact that they are so insistent it is unrelated makes me suspicious though.
