Okay, I have read through all of these pages, and there are still four pages on which I'm stuck:

- The page with Billy the Jigsaw Puppet. i know this might be red herring, but im stuck here anyways Cool

- The page with the red chalk self-portrait, could ANYBODY give me a clue? I've tried all kinds of things here, but nothing works.

- The page with the taped girl. I know i have to use vigenere (right?), but i dont know the passphrase...

- The tv page - i know, could also be a red herring, but everything with a solution box is a potential way to advance.

Any help? Smile

P.S. btw, if you think that something is a red herring when there are more ways to get there, you're wrong. for the very first page, torquere is one possible answer. others might be tormentum or turment.

Since we were playing DaVinci Code at that point, I had to read a summary about the book on Wiki to refresh my memory. Maybe that will help you, too. (But don't be too disappointed about where the page leads you.)

anyway, i'm still stuck at the davinci painting and the rest. (i havent read The Da Vinci Code...)

 		Umm unless I'm being stupid the co-ords I get after decrypting the morse code puzzle (number 4 I think), point to the middle of a river in the US not a building.

The morse code does not point to the middle of a river.

Did you figure out the origin of the text that you decoded along with the coordinates? That may help point you in the correct direction.

No I didn't.

I put the co-ords into google Earth and it reckons its a river in the US.

Is there any other page I can put the co-ords in? how do you do it in google maps?

The answer is both in the movie and in the book....

I think there was a big ass hint somewhere around page 30....
something about MARring A NAG or something like that....

Its not that no one wants to work on it, its the fact that everyone pounded their heads into the wall and got nowhere with the blocks. I literally worked for weeks on it and couldn't get anywhere with it. There really isn't anything left to try. It could possibly be similar to Kryptos with the slugs representing a cipher shift/switch.


I never made it that far.. I am still stuck at the Gargoyle.

You have already met the code of the gargoyle. Just make sure you have correctly copied it for whatever decryption method you are using.

You have already met the code of the gargoyle. Just make sure you have correctly copied it for whatever decryption method you are using.

Did them all by hand last year. I cant remember everything...I reread the entire thread and I am amazed that noone has got to the end by now.. but I am still willing to try.. but I need a shove in the right direction....

Yes it is true, its simply insane how much effort has been put into this code... while never any threat to solving the blocks, I personally worked on them for 3 months here and at Tweleve last year. Maybe Uberg33k has it right with the cipher switch idea and God help us if that's the case... Anyway kudos to all still working on this and special hat-tip for maintaining the rage to Sslug who was here when I first started.

And Greengecko full respect, we know you took the trouble to give a number of clues to the punters, sorry we couldnt make anything of them.

all I needed was a few hours of concentration...
now to the red eyes...

almost got it... cant find the coordinates......
