did ariock removed the paper from the bulletin board?

edit:spellerror

I didn't remove it. I unpinned and lifted one side to see if there was anything printed on the back, but there wasn't so I just pinned it right back to the bulletin board.

I think we need to find out exactly what REDCLEAR means . . . then, the best thing to do would to report that everyone at ENITECH and the labs have been destroyed and ask for further instructions

What if we twist it?

That would be a twist worthy of an M. Night Shyamlan movie Razz

I think I'll run [REDCLEAR] through an anagrammer, just to see what comes up, and for fun.

EDIT: Meh nothing came up that was funny or of any use, so that was a waste.

We were thinking along the same lines. I tried this an hour or so ago, but nothing *really* popped up:

DECAL ERR
CARD LEER
CARD REEL
CLARE RED
CLEAR RED
CARL REED
CARL DEER
ARC ELDER
CAR ELDER
RCA ELDER

Though the two Carl names are interesting...

I didn't even notice the Carl's when I ran it. I really need to pay more attention it seems, but I doubt they are of any use.

I just remembered that it's [REDCLEAR] Protocol, so that might produce something.

When it comes down to it I just can't see this being as simple as an anagram...

The only other "lead" I found via google was references to redclear and red clearance protocols in various municipal transportation documents...

Example: http://www.ntcip.org/library/documents/pdf/1202v0107d.pdf

They seem to be mundane references to procedures in how redlights are programmed... In our context, all I could assume that there would be something hidden in or around a traffic light near the Enitech building...

Other than that I'm wont to say that the transportation angle is a dead end also....

Maybe it's a Transformer, of course if it wanted to destroy mankind it would obviously be a Decepticon. Quick email enitech and tell them to look for the Decepticon logo on the light somewhere!

Likely meanings of redclear protocol:
1)Forget subtle assassination and just use a damn truck bomb
2)Skynet's term for Judgment day

Also searched for yellow/black/blue clear protocols. No luck.

I wonder how Skynet would react to a new sighting of Anna? "Subject Kies' termination has been greatly exaggerated" Smile

Maybe, JUST maybe, you (Ariock) need to be the one to tell them tohat Anna is dead, and we will have more information afterwards.

I've told Skynet that "all targets have been terminated", including Anna.

Skynet told me, in effect, "OK. Now go kill everyone else."

SkyNet's rather... well... stupid. I keep telling it I *want* to, and have access to weapons, high explosives, vehicles, etc... All I need to know is where to go.

He wants to use "redclear". I think SFO's gonna get vaporized.

Just got email from the Resistance... ok, which one of you is the rat-bastard? Very Happy

From the Resistance on Redclear
Quote:
We're not sure. Yet.

3 possibilities:

1) Some kind of large scale T-series assault.
2) A targeted nuclear strike.
3) A new protocol from the machines we haven't yet seen.

I got the same message from the resistance.

For some unholy reason, the second of their ideas seems to be the standout to me. We know that Skynet is willing to do anything and everything to stop Enitech and the Resistance. I don't like the idea, but it's the first thing I thought of when I thought about what "Redclear Protocol" could mean. "Red" as in an emergency, "Clear" as in completely removing something, and I don't think I need to define what I thought "protocol" meant...

I don't think Redclear is nuclear. When I think of something that is Redclear, I'm thinking blood and getting rid of it.

Remember the paperbox? About the CDC and the "outbreak"? I think that paperbox had a newspaper in it from long ago, like within the next couple of weeks.

And, in the take back the future site with the map? It had biohazard symbols spreading red before the secondary explosions actually wiped out resistance.

I'm willing to bet it will be a biological attack.

Maybe the season finale for SCC is around the same date as the newsapaper, and the cliff hanger will be Skynet/Terminators beginning to unleash bio-warfare.

Again, not looking at it as a puzzle solver, but more from a writing/storytelling viewpoint.
