the reason it would be oceanic is because this is obviously OOG, and whatever fan made this up is obviously going to relate the two to get everyone riled up.

Patrick, hate to break it to you, but I was at a Cloverfield screening with Q&A afterward with Drew Goddard, (writer of Cloverfield) he didn't specifically confirm, but when I asked him "What's with the Dharma logo!? Is there a Lost/Cloverfield connection!?", there was a long pause, and his response was "maybe".

Now I know, "maybe" doesn't mean SQUAT to you guys, but coming from the writer of the movie, and close personal friend of JJ, i'd say we should brace ourselves for some big news down the line... Also, when asked about Slusho, and Tagruato, and the whole ARG, his response was, (i'm paraphrashing): "I've said this before, and I can't stress it enough: It's what's ON THE SCREEN that matters..." Which he then went on to explain that he had NOTHING to do with the ARG, therefore he doesn't endorse it... He didn't even know really what tidowave was!!

Want proof? The podcast is coming soon with the interview. Face it dude, there's a connection between Cloverfield and Lost. Whether you like it or not, all will be revealed soon.

I'll let you guys know once the podcast available, and link it here, or in a new thread... It was part of Creative Screenwriting Magazine's screening/Q&A sessions.

when i was watching lost the other night and they said the 'oceanic 6' everyone looked at me cuz i had been talking about JJ's apparent obsession with the number 6. i just rolled my eyes lol!

Look, I know it sounds ridiculous that there could be a connection, but don't trash the possibility. What's the big deal if there is a definite connection?

Just wait till you hear the podcast interview, you'll hear that Drew Goddard has a definite answer he's holding back... He was so willing to trash the ARG Tagruato/TIDOwave stuff, but when asked about the Lost connection he could have said "No".

The fact that he didn't just simply say that means there HAS to be a connection... Face it, and get over it.

Once again, what's the big deal if there is? It's not OUR story...

I'm not a LOST fan but on the other hand, I could care less if it is related.

Well I for one, am not "riled" nor am I "upset", I'm just defending the possibility as it's now not just fan speculation... One of the creators has spoken up about it, and didn't shoot it down...

No reason to get defensive about it... Just face the facts and move on.

 		On a side note though, we have every right to NERD OUT about it and discuss the possibilities... I just don't see where all that goes if most peeps want to shoot down the idea.. What makes it so awful if it's true?

If you know anything about the Dharma Initiative you know that it's mysterious and shrouded in secrecy... If they have something to do with "Clover" then that just makes the whole damn thing 10x cooler!

And why not! We're nerds! And this is what nerds do! Over analyze and use our imaginations...
