Isn't it like 8:15pm in Dallas now? Would the library be open?
Pictishwitch... Would this item be able to reach you/your mother by tonight/tomorrow?
Do you have AIM/Email; so you and I can keep in contact about this?
***Btw I'm still waiting on Glitch to get back to me on whether or not he can do this***

and just to piggy back off of Leyton's comments, does she have a camera and internet connection so that if it isn't able to be shipped right away, we can at least get a visual??
(btw, thank you so very much!!)

GMT -6 in Dallas, so half past six right now. Library is open until 9pm I think.
ETA
FYI the links posted to the books earlier are tied to a session and don't work. Here is a short list of some of the books and their call numbers to locate them in the library:
MIT Wavelength Tables - 535.84 M414
Temperature - 536.5 S951T
Early Electrical Machines - 537.09 D
Q is for Quantum - 539.703 G846Q

I know it will be a friend. Who said that it would be her mom?
But chances are, if her mom isn't super awesome, then the recovery of the...whatever it is...won't happen, for now at least. But we can still hope Leyton...we can still dream !

I'm sure once she speaks to the friend in question she will give us the word..
It's just the waiting part that sucks, ya know?

And well it's 1:45am here in the UK... Looks like it's gonna be a quiet one for now. I'll check back in the morning, night all.

I have been reading about this arg, and I know a ufer in Dallas. I sent him a pm asking if he was able/interested in hunting down whatever it is in the library for you guys. I'll let you know, or he might post here... or maybe by then you will have already found it.

One of my personal gamer friends put me in contact with someone in the Dallas area. She is interested enough to want to join the game, so I've directed her here.

Hola,
Jab said y'all might need some help. I cant get to the library tonight, but I did find 3 of these in the central reference library. You can look them up @ http://dallaslibrary.org/ use the "search library catalog" function
MIT Wavelength Tables - 535.84 M414
Early Electrical Machines - 537.09 D
Q is for Quantum - 539.703 G846Q
They appear to be located here --->CENTRAL-CBT-5TH-REFERENCE
They appear to be Non circulating refrence material - so no one can take them from the specific library
I was not clear on this one ....... it didnt pop right up
Temperature - 536.5 S951T
I have work tomorrow, I can try to sneak down there in the morning but no gurantees. I can definatly go over in the afternoon. I can take my video and digital camera if pleases ya !
Who ever goes, may need :
a better answer on the "Temperature" book
a clue as to what they are looking for ??
any clues of things to look out for.
I'll do a bit of backtrack reading tonight. Let me know if you want me to go or if you have a better option.

the books aren't important except for finding the correct location in the Library. what you are looking for is the black thing stuck just above the books on the book shelf.
you can see it in this picture.

Yeah, the only reason we posted the book titles and numbers was to facilitate finding the proper shelf in the library. Whoever goes doesn't need to worry about the book contents (at least as far as we know).

Oh that's cool. If you can find that one book in the picture, MIT Wavelength Tables - 535.84 M414 then it should be right there. Good luck whoever goes for it!
