duh.
slusho seemed to have NOTHING to do with cloverfield. i only seen one referance to it on jasons shirt.

Slusho is a subsidiary of Tagruato, and therefore has a much larger place in MGP's universe than the losties'...They can stick to their Apollo Candy bars

Obviously the kid with a Gold Medal around his neck standing on the tallest box with the crowd calling out "You did good TP516, you did good! What a good boy". But the deafening roar of the crowd is silenced when the announcer proclaims "Thank you for joining us today, ice cream will be served to all the athletes and their families after the last race".

HAHAHA.... I'm sorry TP, but it is funny....

In regards to your question, the winner would be The cast members of every other show on at 9pm on a Thursday night, because the resulting romp would completely destroy the island, the losties and neither creature will be affected by the other.

I have watched LOST since it's inception. If there is a tie-in, being a LOSTIE it would completely destroy the "reality" of Cloverfield.

I'm not a fan of Patrick's rage...but i'd have to agree with him there...

I'd wet my pants if it was tied in with lost bcoz i'm such a big fan of the show...however, it would definitely ruin any "reality" of the cloverfield event happening. Besides the monster itself...everything in the movie is realistic...whereas Lost is riddled with things that aren't very realistic...

I think if they tied the two together...only Lost fans would appreciate it...the rest of the world would not.

Think of it this way. The weirdness of the world is apparent to the castaways on the Lost island because of the size of their world. Its a compact microcosm of the world they live in so everything is amplified.. To most of the rest of the world, they don't notice this weirdness and see the world much as we see ours... Until a giant monster goes tapdancing down Broadway.

As I stated in the thread on multiple monsters, only what is on the screen and IG (or in this case IW for In World) counts. Because that logo shows up on screen in the film, Dharma's existance in the Cloverfield world is canon. The Dharma Initiative apparently was involved in the recovery or review of the footage that is the movie, meaning they do share a world. Does that mean they had anything else to do with the event or creation of Clover?, No. Does that make the world of Cloverfield less realistic? No, no more than Clover does. Most people arent seeing whats happening on the island and live thier mundane lives unaware of the worlds weirdness or Dharma's plans.

This is how most modern-day gameworlds work for RPGs, btw. The average person is a Mundane until something opens thier eyes to the reality around them.

This isn't unusual.. many writers have all thier series/works share a common world, Abrams apparently, S. King, and David E. Kelley for example. (Boston legal, Law and Order, The Practice besides all being in Boston, also would cross storylines/characters)

Generally, as they relate to each other, Lost and Cloverfield seem to be IW to each other, but not exactly IG. Untill they dump a Cloverfield clue on a LOST site or vice-vesey, which is unlikely.

I have a more simple explanation...

maybe Abrams just wanted to do a little something special for his LOST fans?

I've got an even better one, maybe, just maybe, for the moment, it actually doesnt matter... If there is more evidence later, then it might matter, but with the info we have, if there is or isnt a connection, it doesnt change anything

The why isn't important. The result is the same. The logo is canon.

Darhma, or some other organization using the same logo exists in the Cloverfield world.

Occam's razor says its Darhma, and a shared world.

Come to think of it.. Alias had alot of weird/fantastical background elements too, just couched as superspy genre tropes.

Well, I didn't mean Apollo candy bars, I literally meant Dharma logo candy bars, like the rest of the foodstuffs they send to the island... But I guess I could have gone either way.

The Bars Dharma sent to the island were Apollo bars, They were the only food item not marked with the Dharma logo...

As a big fan of lost, i just want to say i will do something publically, which has yet to be determind, but i will do something humiliating.

This pisses me off. There is NO connection between lost and cloverfield. We have never gotten anything connecting the two EVER.

The dhrama logo is easy to explain. Its JJ's trademark. Dhrama would have nothing to do w/ the government(or do they) but either way they would not have anything to do with the case surronding MGP.

Dhrama is JJ's trademark if you guys cant figure it out. M. Night Sham-a-lon has appreared in every movie he has created, does that mean they are connected? no.

Superman appeared or at least was referneced in each seifield episode ever made. does this make alll the episodes connected? no., it just shows jerry or lary has a major fetish w/ superman.

Come up w. something good and legal, and ill do that and post it here if lost and cloverfield are found to be connected. Lost would be ruined.

FOR THE 9 MILLIONTH TIME, LOST AND CLOVERFIELD ARE ONLY RELATED BY THEIR CREATORS.

THAT'S IT, I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE - I AM MOVING MY CONDO OVER TO TOOMAN.

Patrick, hate to break it to you, but I was at a Cloverfield screening with Q&A afterward with Drew Goddard, (writer of Cloverfield) he didn't specifically confirm, but when I asked him "What's with the Dharma logo!? Is there a Lost/Cloverfield connection!?", there was a long pause, and his response was "maybe".

Now I know, "maybe" doesn't mean SQUAT to you guys, but coming from the writer of the movie, and close personal friend of JJ, i'd say we should brace ourselves for some big news down the line... Also, when asked about Slusho, and Tagruato, and the whole ARG, his response was, (i'm paraphrashing): "I've said this before, and I can't stress it enough: It's what's ON THE SCREEN that matters..." Which he then went on to explain that he had NOTHING to do with the ARG, therefore he doesn't endorse it... He didn't even know really what tidowave was!!

Want proof? The podcast is coming soon with the interview. Face it dude, there's a connection between Cloverfield and Lost. Whether you like it or not, all will be revealed soon.

I'll let you guys know once the podcast available, and link it here, or in a new thread... It was part of Creative Screenwriting Magazine's screening/Q&A sessions.

The ONLY connection that exists is the fact that Slusho! and Cloverfield and Lost were all created by JJ Abrams. If you think anything more your nuts.
I got yer reveal right here.

Well no, there's also the Dharma logo at the beginning of Cloverfield.

Edit: As was already mentioned.
