[INFO] Cloverfield Current Gross Sales Worldwide
More epic monster movies on the way?

Cloverfield Production Budget: $25 million

Domestic (USA): $78,203,216

Foreign: $68,768,029

Worldwide Box Office Sales as of 2/20/2008: $146,971,245

Because of this, every single major studio will be producing large scale monster movies. It would not surprise me at all if Sony (stifling puke) rolled out another Godzilla movie.

And it hasn't released in Japan yet.

It comes out 4/15/08 over there.

By that time, the U.S will almost have it on DVD lol. Laughing

Well i wouldn't be surprised if it reached the 200 million dollar mark. Cool

Note that it sold like that 'cuz it was something original. Some people liked it, some not. Those that didn't are likely not to go to the movies for another one of this type.

As long as they use unknown actors with new name directors etc they can make any movie that cheaply and profitable, not just monster flicks. Cloverfield could have cost 120 million if they stuffed the cast with the likes of Tom Cruise and such..

Hooray.

I saw it for the 6th time today, but I can't drink just six!

Actually I probably can. I'm sad because the 5 times after first seeing it haven never managed to be better than the first, simply because I know when everything is coming... oh well, it's still intenz as hell.

And i got one of them bootlegs. My best friend brought it back for me from Puerto Rico, and for a bootleg, its not all that bad. Even the dark scenes came out pretty good looking. The sound is great on it too, and thats usually the worst part of a bootleg. Have watched it four times since i got it, so including the two times in the theater thats six for me, and you know you cant watch just six

EDIT. Damn, sorry not to rip off your joke there Magic; didnt notice you had put that till after i posted
