More speculation: Could Aunt M's sister (dana's "mother") be work with AI in some way? Could she be dana's creator?

More wild speculation: Aunt M talks about how she never got along well with her sister and regrets it. And how much she loves her sister's daughter, dana. Could aunt M have copied her sister into the AI known as DANA as a way to mend old fences?

That is very intresting, but we have too much information that speculates Dana is a real existing character. (Audio, Imagery). Even if you wish to contend that those were faked, by your theory Aunt M, exists in our world.
No one has the tech to pull that fucking shit off in our time, or current world.

Personally, I feel that the AI was drawn to Dana's melachony. It found somebody that it connected to.

The whole leaving for alien territory and coming back changed sounds like Cortana when she is full of the HALO data in the novel First Strike.

The flea seems to be learning words from the site and emails... could some of these email responses be either from or modified by the flea? could the flea have gotten into her email as well as AuntMs?
