The monster face looks a little off though, was this before or after the official toy images came out?

Wow, the first cool post in decades!

I have mad RPG Maker 2k3/XP skills but mine will be swamped by this 3D beast of a game. I'm really excited!

The taking pictures aspect sounds uninteresting, but I guess I really can't think of any other way to do a game like this.

There was a game on PlayStation (maybe--?) a few years back that was about trying to survive a disaster situation (I think an earthquake, not sure) and escape the city. I don't remember what it was called but I thought it looked cool. That's really the only other way I could see this done, with some parasite fights thrown in as well.

it shouldn't be like Pokeomon Snap ...

it should just consist of lots of smaller parasite fights with a couple of strategic challenges to find a way past Clovey on the street or something...

maybe add in a Military element? have to fly the fighter jet while shooting at Clovey in NYC? that'd be sweet. sorta like the old "Star Fox" game for N64

To me, it looks like it may cool based on what I've read about how the levels will be, however there is only thing I didn't like at ALL: The whole Scientist bullshit.. It wasn't in the movie (for the better), I don't see it working in the game.

I think the idea was a more frenetic version of "Fatal Frame" than "Pokémon Snap".

Which, for the record, I purchased from the Wii online game program...it's the bomb! I missed out on the whole Nintendo 64 thing, and now I regret it.

i should be happy

I should be happy but im not. At first thought you think awesome GAME but then you think how would you play it. I think it should be either a survival game but not to puzzle based or a rampage kind of game where you play with the monster.

So, riddle me this...are these people really going to be able to make a good-looking, well performing computer game?

I mean, I don't know anything about the video-game industry, so I don't know what kind of finances go into the production of a video game, but I imagine the money is way up there.

I still play Ninja Gaiden all the time. That's a cool game. It was created by a giant company with hundreds of employees who worked together to create it. I mean, look at the credits.

Is this game going to be high-quality? Up to par with the modern generation of video games? How long will it take to create?

They said they are thinking about pitching it, and if it somehow goes through they want it on PS2/Wii. I don't remember him saying PS3/360.

If it doesn't go through, probably a free pc game.

To answer your question tman no this game will not be up to par with modern games. But it will give us about 5 hours or less of semi fun gameplat. The credits for this game will probally have like 10 names on it and say thanks to all "cloverfield fans" for wanting us to make this. But i hope a big company can make a real cloverfield game. O yea im not sure but can paramount take the game down if they want to?
