So, riddle me this...are these people really going to be able to make a good-looking, well performing computer game?

I mean, I don't know anything about the video-game industry, so I don't know what kind of finances go into the production of a video game, but I imagine the money is way up there.

I still play Ninja Gaiden all the time. That's a cool game. It was created by a giant company with hundreds of employees who worked together to create it. I mean, look at the credits.

Is this game going to be high-quality? Up to par with the modern generation of video games? How long will it take to create?

To answer your question tman no this game will not be up to par with modern games. But it will give us about 5 hours or less of semi fun gameplat. The credits for this game will probally have like 10 names on it and say thanks to all "cloverfield fans" for wanting us to make this. But i hope a big company can make a real cloverfield game. O yea im not sure but can paramount take the game down if they want to?

Afaik, you have to get permission to make ANY fan-made game, or anyting related to it. SO, yes, without permission, it can and most likely will die.

Not really lol. If you are selling the product (game).....yes Paramount can take it down. But in this situation...no. Hopefully this will be cool and it can dedicate to us (Cloverfield fans) to a game we will enjoy. Very Happy

see, I don't want the game to be a remake of the movie, I want it to be an addition to the movie. As if it were from a perspective of different people in the city.

A soldier
A dock worker/subway attendant
A police officer/fire fighter/EMS
A random pedestrian/news reporter

In fact, you should have an option... Kinda like RE: Outbreak.

But all in first person P.O.V. and every character has their own starting point and ending.

The Wii sucks so it doesnt matter. lol jk but it cant compare to Ps3 in anyway. Nintendo failed me, after me and my brother get sick of SSBB we will probally sell the Wii and get a PS3 because after SSBB the Wii should die unless they give us a new Metriod or Zelda, Nintendo better get crackin.

No, Paramount can have it taken down whenever they like.

Paramount won't have it taken down. As long as we're not selling it for profit, I don't think that they'll really care. They would probably find it funny to see how big the fandom is.

Actually, I think it might be a better idea to get Paramount and Bad Robot's permission first.

I was thinking of making a fan-made Cloverfield game. I have a program to make games with, but it will have SNES 2-D graphics.

Hey just look at the first Halo game, it was awesome, and it was developed by a team of, like 16 people.

Im sorry you feel that way suckah but the wii currently isnt doing so good in the eyes of a true gamer, even my lil bro who is a ninteno fanboy is getting sick of crap wii games like Dueys adventure. And games like zelda were clearly nerfed in diffuctly because nintendo didnt know how the wii gameplay would effect how well you can control. If you have metal of honor for the wii just look how the graphics actually decrease when you play online that is some last gen stuff right there. The wii is just uncapable of making good games. good games for the nintendo: Zelda, Metriod, Smash bros, Marios, and mario kart if you are bored. Bad games for the wii: everything else . Good games for ps3: too many to name. And for a 100% fact if you think the wii is better than the ps3 you are a fanboy
