help locate my friends needs help from someone inside PO

Quote:
A tip off.

Okay, so like I said yesterday, I've been in contact with someone. I started calling the companies that the anonymous faxes came from. They were unable to tell me who sent them, for data protection and 'not knowing' reasons. I thought I'd hit a bit of a brick wall with the investigation, when I received another fax yesterday.

"I know you're looking for me. You don't need to know who I am, just that I can help you. I'm aware of an organisation who are interested in the work that Martin's doing. They may be able to assist you with the files on the USB sticks, if you make them think you're with them."

As for who they are:

The fax was signed "R13″. I guess some kind of code name.

I've been working on this all day, but I still don't see where it's going. Any ideas?

Nice find Sylvia... I swear I was only there 10 minutes ago! >.<

Ok R13, isn't that Punchline? Or am I wrong? - I recall someone saying he was made R13 after 13s "death" but was then reassigned the number, or something... Right?

Now iminreddycompanygb.

Some kind of Company, in Great Britain perhaps?

No, Punchline was Participant 13.
However, the name R13 does sound vaguely familiar. I can't quite place it though...

Punchline dubbed himself participant 13 but was officially P170... the only R we have had up until now was R169...the Phase 8 coordinator

Ahh okay that's where I was getting confused.

Also I thought perhaps iminreddymcompanygb was an anagram of some kind. - I mean I know we can make command out of reddymcompany.

"I'm in command......" possible?

Far as I've seen from reading through the wiki and some pages of this trail, Participant and Recruit are interchangable. When everyone was posing as members of the Project, they took on recruit numbers, yes? According to the wiki, the whole thing with Punchline was that he played the angle of "I'm #13, but I'm certainly not dead." and got reassigned to 170. Maybe this the real 13, the one who died, but he's really still alive?

Edit: "They may be able to assist you with the files on the USB sticks, if you make them think you're with them." Who all was posing as PO members? Need one of you to ask them what-t-f these .OPH files are.

Participant/Recruit interchangeable, I'd say so now. I wasn't sure at first and thought that Participant was some special designation, but in Dani's email he addressed us all as Participants.

Dani's repeatedly confirmed that P13-not-Punchline is dead-- unless, of course, he's lying for some reason. But that's a little illogical-- what reason would he have to lie to us?

And Zii (do you mind if we call you that?)-- you can find those of us who posed as Participants/Recruits on the wiki for PO.

just an interesting side-note... this original post appeared on Feb 19...

three days later, "you suck at photoshop video #7" appeared, and this same image was the main character's wallpaper on his desktop. Not sure if anyone's following the YSAP thread in the Rumors section of Unforums, but we're over there trying to figure out if it's an ARG or not. Not sure if it means anything at all to either of our respective fictions, but I just thought I would throw that out there to all the PO-people.

Zii's what I go by, generally, so no worries. ^.^ Found the list, but in the other forum there's discussion about how the participants would have gotten hold of this information, whether the spying excuse I thought of was something PO would do, and even whether the "they might help you" is in reference to PO or some other organization that we just haven't found yet.

iheathen:
I saw the pic and thought four things:
1) The PM of YSAT saw the image on the uf forums and thought it was funny.
2) Donnie's sending a message that either he's getting ready to be done with YSAT or that there's some other paradigm shift in that game we haven't caught on to yet.
3) It might be another aspect of the now, two, merged, games we have under the PO umbrella.
4) YSAT is connected to another (non-PO) game out there.

I'm going with number 1, personally.

I have finally read through all 60 pages of this thread!

*collapses from exhaustion*

Anyway, now I feel up to date... Wink

From what I've read:
R13 is supposed to be dead, ("they killed him" - said by R169) but it appears now that isn't, since he's sending cryptic faxes to Jason, instructing about deaddrops of USB sticks in Texas and the UK.
Also, someone called 24601 alerted Jason to the existence of PO, through the comments bit on his locatemyfriends website.

My thought is that R13 is 24601. I remember someone's comment from this thread about that being Jean ValJean's number from Les Mis. He was a man supposedly missing, who changed his name, went on the run. Perhaps a sort of irony, from R13, that being why he chose 24601 to be his sn on the blog? That, or he's French. Wink
