I'm in trapped?

I'm entrapped?

Someone tricked him into something?

...I think I'm running up blind alleys again.

Rebecca's note did say that the pictures 'together, they tell a story', so putting them in order might tell us something. Not sure what, though.

I'm still working on the synonyms. Given the hint about "letters, or numbers" I think the Mbar is supposed to be million. But, on the other hand, I searched "www.*million.co.uk in Google, and hit a few websites but all obviously OOG. So... not sure where to go with that.

I keep coming back to vermilion, for some reason. Not that I've found anything workable with it, just banging my head against a brick wall! Laughing

from Wikipedia:
Vermilion is a red pigment and color. It may also refer to the following:

Places
Canada
Vermilion, Alberta, a town in Alberta, Canada
Fort Vermilion, Alberta, a hamlet in Alberta, Canada
United States
Vermilion, Illinois
Vermilion, Ohio
Vermilion Township, Erie County, Ohio
Vermilion County, Illinois
Vermilion Parish, Louisiana
Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona
Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, Arizona
Lake Vermilion, Minnesota
Vermilion Range (Minnesota), iron range

Entertainment
Vermilion (song), 2004 single released by metal band Slipknot
Sword of Vermilion, Sega Genesis game known in Japan as Vermilion

Vermillion is an alternate spelling for Vermilion, a red pigment and color
It may also refer to:

Vermillion Hair, a punk band from Crewe
Vermillion, the Living Enigma, a character in the video game Battle Arena Toshinden
Vermillion Entertainment, a video game development group based in Mexico

Numerous places in the United States:
Vermillion, Kansas
Vermillion, Minnesota
Vermillion, South Dakota
Vermillion County, Indiana
Vermillion Township, Illinois
Vermillion Township, Indiana
Vermillion Township, Iowa
Vermillion Township, Kansas
Vermillion Township, Minnesota
Vermillion Township, Ashland County, Ohio
Vermillion Township, Clay County, South Dakota
Vermillion Township, Miner County, South Dakota

Fictional places:
Vermillion City a fictional city in the Pokémon series

Comics:
Vermillion, a title published by DC Comics under the Helix imprint

Ok I enlisted the help of Will who I'm sure some of you if not all of you know and he led me to this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reddy_Kilowatt

Check it out and check out the alphabet esp' the M associated w/ Reddy.

Also he says Reddy is the Mascot of Phil Lesh the founding member of the old rock band The Grateful Dead.

I've just tried almost evey cipher and decoder I could think of on Iminreddy and IminreddyM; NOTHING!

I should have known this duh... Updated email from J,

Quote:
Hrm.

I've been looking at the possibility of more of the segments of that phrase being synonyms. I think some of them might actually be numbers. For example...reddy. I'm sure I've heard that before, in relation to money. But I'm not sure what context it was in.

I've been trying to find a site where I can search for registered domains, but I've not found anything yet.

J.

As Will and I discussed (which he found) it means 50 pound note, Urban dictionary confirms this...

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=reddy

I've tried - www.fiftymill.co.uk, www.fiftymil.co.uk, www.fiftymillion.co.uk and www.50million.co.uk and got nothing.

No it was a good attempt but we've figured now Reddy means money. Fifty pounds.

He fusses at us for you being the only one emailing him, and then you're the only one he talks to. Wahwah hypocrite. ;P

The clues are helpful but not helpful enough... So we know the M is million, reddy is the 50 pound note, and the Company GB is .co.uk... Now what? ;(

Do web addresses allow for symbols? Like to have the pound symbol in the address?

Ok... I recieved an email once more from Jason.

Hi Leyton,

...
So, I guess we're looking for a website. That Roman numeral thing seems like a possibility. I've never seen that character before. What if some of the words are synonyms for other words, or numbers?

I guess if all else fails, we could try looking for a list of domains that end with what we've already worked out. It's bound to be in there somewhere.

Hope that helps.

J.

Also the synonyms thing, I've checked synonyms for Reddy and found nothing, for I'm in Reddy M found nothing - I'm once again at a loss.

As far as I know the only thing we know for sure is co.uk 'Domains that end... I tried a domain search, but haven't found any that are matches for reddy* .co.uk

Synonyms for 'reddy' reddish, ruddy, rosy, flushed, glowing, healthy-looking. (MSWord) pink, crimson, cherry, scarlet.

Ready= prepared, set, all set, complete, geared up, equipped, organized, arranged, etc.

M-bar = kilobar megabar (and reverses) mega overbar, megamacron

Anything ring a bell?

Are we totally overthinking this somehow? I get the ugly feeling that when it comes clear there will be a lot of forehead banging...

How about this. Million = Mega --> Megs --> site hosted at 50Megs.co.uk?
