This is why I don't like threads like this. They start off topic, go even more off topic, and then crash and burn as a dead thread forever.
And I suppose I had to do with it going even more off topic, but it has to go through it's cycle, right?
The correct answer was "That earthquake WAS me getting laid."

Now that would be an interesting experience.

I am sick of these goddam earthquakes in this goddam country.
I sort of knew this topic was coming. Big earthquake, nobody knows what's happening, a cloverfield fan has access to a computer, and here we are.

Could this be IG? Perhaps Cloverfield 2 will be set in the UK.
Thoughts?
Well if Bush apparently sent Hurricane Katrina into New Orleans... Then the puppetmasters MUST be able to control the technonic plates and make an earthquake for their $25m movie!

That'd be hard to do, seeing as they blasted it to pieces...

Funny, I thought the meteor that fell in Portland, OR was IG. lol.
Oh and OilM- "Paraphrasing" was right... he used it in the right context. Should really look that up before making a statement. God bless the inter-web

1) It's spelled Oli, not Oil.
2) He didn't use it correctly. To paraphrase someone is to restate something in another context; the implication here is that when you paraphrase something, you state a similar idea using different wording. Paraphrasing is not simply restating something, like that guy did. That's called recapitulation, rephrasing, rewording, summarization, imitation, mimicry ... et cetera. Here .
Sorry. I'm kind of a grammar nazi, I guess. We all have our quirks.
Edit
Did I just invoke Godwin's Law by calling myself a grammar nazi? I was never really sure how that worked.

Pitiful.
I leave these forums for a week or two, go for a stroll in the Atlantic, and come back to find everyone blaming my evening exercise on Cloverfield 2?
Come now.

These boards have gotten rediculous since I left. How in the hell is an earthquake supposed to have anything to do with cloverfield? Unless J.J. Abrams' buddy up in the sky owes him some favors.
