Is Mr. Tooman coming to town?

I just had a thought just hit me like a load of bricks. The phone call Hawkins rcalled towards the end? I'm willing to bet my that its Tom Tooman from the ARG coming to "Help" Hawkins!

Not sure I agree or not. I read the morse from this episode was "Caller knows all." I'm not sure if our Mr. Tooman is aware of all the conspiracy going on around them. If he was, how did he gain that knowledge? My guess is that it is not Tom Tooman, but again its just a guess.

FYI- I saw rekidk asked in the IRC last night if anyone caught the number Hawkins dialed. I know that the numbers he circled last night were 87 10 41 and 6908. I had to think for a second to get the last 4, but I just took the most visible numbers, and rewound to the highest res shot of the sheet, counted up from those to where he had circled. I searched for "871 area code" and a site listed it as a California area code, but on searching whitepages.com's reverse search, I got an error that the area code was no good. Besides, when talking to mousekinn about it, we realized that the exchange(middle set) can't start with 0. I can post screens if needed.

Heh, funny... I was trying to look at it from an IP address point of view, with 87.104.169.08 being the only IP I could construct. I keep getting timeout errors when browsing to it though. Its probably nothing.

What about...

What about using just the first six numbers...which came in 3 sets of 2.

87 10 41

you can add to that the numbers from the new vehicles on Redeye...

56 86 43 (568643)
34 48 25 (344825)
77 74 68 (777468)

FWIW, the only problem with the IP idea is that you'd have to drop the 0 in front of the 8, right? I set of numbers in an IP have to begin with a numeral >0, right?

As far as I know, the numbers in an IP address can be anywhere from 0 to 255. Now, the last block, I don't know.

Reasons and Speculation.

It HAS to be Tooman and somehow he stumbled upon Chung. We never learned exactly where Hawkins tam had their safe house right? It was just said to be in Wyoming. In Ep#1, Chavez did say that Chung was thought to be in Cheyenne. Could the scouts from Sacred Hat have stumbled upon the safe house or could SHC actually BE the safe house?

The whole plot of the use of cell phones is what has me pretty much convinced.
The Towers themselves.
Someone hacking into the Cheyenne Messages.
Tooman seemingly still able to communicate despite the fact that Cheyenne owns the airwaves so to speak.

To me at least, everything seems to be falling into place, ya know?
That and the CBS Blog stating that "Tom may even make an appearance himself"

Sorry it took so long for me to come back, I started this thread but never offered my reasons for doing so. Just been busy and I wasn't expecting something like this to happen this early yet.

If he caught up with Chung, He'd know alot. Not too mention how the Cheyenne Government is REALLY operating and how dirty they are.

I think he and his boys have been resisting to him all this time. He knows they're a fraud.

In IP addresses, if you start with 0, the numbers that follow are assumed to be octal base. So 08 is an invalid number, as 8 in octal is 010 and all digits in octal are 0 to 7.

The new vehicles on Redeye translate to "Sprint Digital Lounge" as someone posted in other topic, so I think the phone number isn't related to them.

Co-ordinates from the show...

Co-ordinates as written appear to be in China, add the ( - ) and they track to NE New Mexico and NW Texas. In China it tracks to the area around xiahe xian. One hit specifically on the road, the other in the hilly terrain.
This is also based on 'continuing' the co-ordinates that will not work (IE, 84 became 24...)
