The thing is, that we have all of the data that Enitech shared with us. Unless it's strictly scientific stuff, we have everything copied that would have upset SKYNET.

I just don't get it. It's been said that whatever pi$$ed off 'NET is something it's and we've seen.

Not only that, if it thinks that it can "erase" the history or future that Enitech has shown/created then we/Resistance can "erase" whatever SKYNET has done.

Anna, Frank and all the rest don't have to die because they can undo whatever SKYNET has done because it hasn't been done it yet, because the T that came back to get them in the first place hasn't left to our time.

Quick question for one who is not well-versed in the Terminator lore... what's DoD?

Department of Defense. Nothing to do with Terminator lore really. Razz

The centurion doesn't necessarily have to come from present-day. Skynet could have made a note to itself, that at X date in the future, send a centurion directly to those GPS coordinates at this date and time. Of course, then comes the difficulty of hiding such action, which would require the centurion to self-destruct to hide its presence there, since it's highly ridiculous to suggest that it walked to Enitech Labs without detection, it's equally as ridiculous to suggest it walked away without detection.

The warning to T-units to stay away from Enitech during redclear could be explained simply enough if the centurion does not have the capability to distinguish between humans and disguised T-units during its attack. Its instructions were likely to terminate all nearby targets, destroy the lab's contents and vault, and then self-terminate.

The tape is where things become detached from what would happen in reality. Marin County Sheriff's Department starts working with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. The tape is found, footage is recovered. Then for some reason, the Enitech webmaster is given the clear to release the footage of a large robotic killing machine. If this was reality, the DHS would keep the footage from getting out citing national security concerns, and start inquiring into confidential Department of Defense projects to see if it's one of ours, or if they've seen anything like it before. If it was one of ours, there would need to be some explaining as to why one of our own government defense projects attacked a civilian installation without authorization, or why the attack was authorized. If it wasn't one of ours, you can be damned sure they wouldn't want the public to be informed of its existence, since it would be technology more advanced than our own governments and in someone else's hands. So in all cases, mum's the word.

Luckily this isn't reality, and I can sleep safe at night knowing that there are no giant robots with machine guns running around in our nation's major cities...or be disappointed at the fact that is isn't that way. I kinda like the idea.

If, as Celina has proposed, that Skynet used the DoD to eliminate Enitech and their employees under suspicion of conspiracy to commit a terrorist attack against NORAD, they would likely have used traditional tactical ops teams to secure the building and all associated personnel, searched the building and all employee's residences (citing probable cause to search without warrant) and thoroughly interrogate all employees to ensure that there was actually no threat. They would not have sent a killing machine to slaughter them with extreme prejudice. Besides, Cheyenne Mountain is ultra-secure - as long as the double blast doors get closed at the primary entrance it will withstand nuclear attack, perhaps not a sustained nuclear bombing but certainly anything that Enitech would have been capable of working without a foreign government backing them - and even in that case, we'd like to know which government it was.

Thing is, in the Terminator series, it's only possible to travel through time if you are surrounded by flesh (Cromartie's head is an exception for Standards and Practices, it originally was supposed to be covered in flesh). I'm trying really hard not to imagine a flesh covering over a giant four legged robot.

I have said it before to a friend of mine, but he dismissed it. Now he is doubting.

Could it be that Kevin is played by Josh Friedman, writer(/creator?) of the SCC series?

I emailed the Dyson Trust, asking them to disseminate who brought them the Centurion proposal. I haven't heard back.

I hope that the Resistance is okay, I haven't heard back from them, either.

Also, in checking for other pics of Josh, came across a couple others...

kinda funny, glazed look (and Lena), but mainly: a crew shot (note the guy top row center - looks a little 'rounder' and similar to 'Kevin' than Josh - could be him instead? no idea who he is though)

As an aside, here's a nice behind-the-scenes article about the series, from September.
and even more minor - some sweet swag would be something signed by Summer Glau ; )

ETA: A quote talking about FOX's love for grassroots internet and the blogging world -
"Cait [Hood] explained how FOX realized the importance of an online presence and interaction at a grass roots level with websites that featured the sci-fi, fantasy, horror genres. John wanted to know how the various websites came to be and was surprised to learn that most of the sites started out as personal websites to express the webmasters' opinion and developed a following resulting in thousands of "hits" a day. As the webmasters explained, they have a direct link to the fan base that watches these shows, and as I elaborated, those "hits" can be quantified and translate into advertising demographics and revenue. So along with promoting the shows they love, many of the sites themselves have developed into thriving e-businesses."

Methinks we are being watched more than we think! =)
