[Spec] Eye Of The Tiger...Er, Grumpy Pants Here's a blown up, brightened image of MGP's eyeball from the television commercial that finally revealed the beast to the public.
Notice the white, the iris, then the pupil.
Scary? Mos' def'.
The question is, what does this hint at, when combined with the human-like hands (with fingerprints !)?
Are there human origins to MGP? A Slusho mutation? What?

It really does look like the eye of a spooked horse, I see what the producers were saying.

Yea i kept thinking of that interview about the spooked horse thing when i saw it the first time. It did seem more like it was confused and scared , not knowing what to do or where to go. Almost felt sorry for ol Clover. I do stress Almost tho. Still hard to feel sorry for something that kills so many people that were just as scared and confused, regardless of the circumstances

I definitely believe it is a human that mutated into MGP.

What abouth this theory...
http://tagruato.jp/headlines.php?story=news_08_01_18
especially this part
Yoshida was ambushed yesterday afternoon by a radical gang as he left a important restaurant. The group was barely able to restrain Yoshida and pour a liquid over his head before Yoshida fought back, scattering the gang in all directions.
Why label it as "a liquid" and not as water, slusho or whiskey for that matter. Mr Grumpy Pants real name perhaps is Ganu Yoshida?

How would any of these theories explain the fact that the guys who worked on the film said that it's supposed to be thousands of years old?

IF you are being serious...
Abrams already stated, in the well-circulated prouduction notes, that this monster has been under the ocean floor for thousands and thousands of years.

Bingo. It's been stated by JJ Abrams himself that the creature is thousands of years old.
Besides, if it was just a mutated human, I'd be REALLY, REALLY pissed off. Thinking of it as a giant, undiscovered sea monster is just so much cooler than some mutated japanese guy.
