[META] IF this experience is over....what now??? What is everyone going to do? Personally I am going to lurk the Star Trek ARE/ARG.
As far as Cloverfield is concerned, and I've already warned my wife....I am all about Clover now. Have been since July of 07, and if this is all done save for the manga....I'm still collecting every damn bit of paraphenalia I can get my hands on. If it's Cloverfield, I'll get it.
Man it's been a fun ride folks.

Hope Hope I'm all about Clover too. Hopefully the manga will give more clues, but really, I hope that there is more to be had. More clues to find, more details to garner, and more things to mull over after watching the movie another couple of times.
The dvd should be exciting. It would be cool if they tied some of the viral/ARE/ARG stuff into the release of that. Which could either be April to June by many accounts.

Re: Hope Hope Give it some time, It's only been 3 weeks in U.S. and less then that overseas. Got spoiled on the clues comin real fast right before the movie came out. Not over till MGP sings!...lol
Waitin for confirmation that its over...admins/mods should clarify it soon.

Too many unanswered questions for this to be done. My bet is that they will be ramping it up albeit methodically for either sequel or DVD release.
Also, as long as their is a marketable element to this, they will not let it die off just because the movie has been released.
There is too much of an opportunity to continue making money from Cloverfield. Not likely they will allow that opportunity to die off.
More than likely this will be handed off to Paramount marketing to incorporate this into toys, food items, DVD, sequel etc.
I am sure as soon as "Cloverfield" leaves the screen there will be more, there will be more......

Food Items you say???? hmmm.....little Hud shaped snackie-smores.
mmmmmmmm........
I have a good feeling that the Manga is going to wrap this all up....and I believe that the 4th part will coincide with the DvD release.

I don't think it is over... and THIS THREAD is why

I was wondering, however, do you think once the movie is out, this ARG may actually continue...?
It would be a nice reward and make the film more memorable and it would save us from a potentially terrible sequel that is only made to fill in plot holes.
You've probably already figured this out but I can confirm the answer is "yes." We're working on organizing a post-campaign chat with the Puppetmasters...details to come when the campaign is, well, over.

I'm with you on buying as many Cloverfield goodies as I can get.
I'm kinda bummed that it seems to be over, because I got into things way late. As in...I saw the movie, knew there was a good viral marketing campaign but didn't pay attention until after.
Here I am about a month after the release of Cloverfield, I've seen it 5 times and done nothing but devote my free time to reading about the damn movie.
Sadly, I really do think it's over. If it was going to continue, I would think that something would've happened shortly following the release in America, mainly because that's where the biggest hype has been. They could've hooked a good amount of people if they'd have started developing the ARE again after the 1-18-08 release.
Oh well. For now, I'll remain somewhat hopeful that things will continue sometime soon...if not I'll look forward to the release of the DVD. And in the mean time, I'll keep buying stuff I don't need off of eBay.

48 Hours In Purgatory?
http://www.48-hours.net/purgatorium/index.php
...It doesn't have to be over...
There used to be rumors it was connected to Cloverfield..You will probably find great interest in it once you start your journey. The mystery has just begun and the stakes have never been higher.
This ARE for the upcoming film 48 Hours In Purgatory, is everything the Cloverfield ARE was, and more.
Hope to see you soon.

There's a Star Trek ARG/ARE? Really? Well damn, I need to hop on that train.
I'll always have a special place in my heart (and DVD collection) for Cloverfield. It was the first ARG I ever followed from start to finish, and therefore, is something I feel very sad about leaving. I'll keep checking the forum (probably daily, because I just can't accept that it's dead), and maybe we'll get a kick-start from the DVD release.
Hopefully, there'll be a Cloverfield 2, and an ARG to coincide with it. Until then, I'll just be watching the DVD over and over again (when it comes out).

I think I'll obsessively devote myself to finding out what that damn monster is in Lost. There's always some monster to find.

Well, after something like two months of doing nothing here, I've come back to see what's happening, what (if anything) I've missed, and it would appear, not much. Disappointing, in a way.
I think I'll just do what I've been doing for the last two months.
