Just a little hunch something tells me the game isn't as dead as we think. It occurred to me that although the Tidowave site went offline, the Tag site is still up. we know something happened to Tido. could this be connected? If so what happened?
and how does Aladygma fit into all of this?

Umm. All sites are still up . why? Dunno. But check your zipper.
BTW. did you know that Valerie Bertinelli cheated on Eddie Van Halen with Steven Spielberg? He hates garlic it seems. thats what broke them up..

She dated Spielberg years before she met Eddie.
She was 19 at the time.
On Topic: I can reach the sites still, and they took the lock off Tidowave if that is what you were referring to

The tido wave site came back up a few days after the movie was out i think. I saw the movie on the 19th and the site was back a few days later.
I think either
A) this ARG is dead, they will reveal answers in the dvd special features
B) the manga will provide new clues, leading to delicous ARGiness
C) we somehow accidentally solved it
I don't think there've been any actual updates since the 18th

The answer is A.
Or C, although we never solved anything, we were just force fed information at various times leading up to 1-18-08.

From elsewhere in this forum. The PMs have promised a Q&A after the ARE/G is done, and have stated it will continue.
I believe this is a hiatus of sorts while they get the next steps together.
Probably to coincide w/ the DVD release.

Do you mind finding that interview ani? or where ever that info came from, I'd be interested in reading that.
If that is true, we'll be waiting until the manga mini series is finished, before we get any info. Which wont be until april.

so you think that this will be going on for more than another year? there is not a Friday May 22nd this year. May 22nd is on a friday next year however, which is why i have been thinking ever since i saw the movie that the sequel will be released on that day. but i really think that the dvd will be the next time we hear anything official. but that is just my thought.

Hello everyone, my first post here so be kind (if I can't contribute positively then I hope I can at least saying anything dumb). I can't help the feeling that a clue has been lost in the mass of people quoting stuff on blogs/web pages. For example, the 1-18-08 website gave us "deep sea nectar" (once translated), which if memory serves gave one hit when Googled which was the next link in the chain; now it gives us about 122 000 hits. What I'm trying to get across is this; I'm sure there's another similar connection to be made, it's just been smothered by all the discussion/disection of the ARG (hope I'm using that in the right context).

This is exactly what i said a few weeks back, im sure weve missed something. Theres still too many loose ends. Unless they were never meant to go anywhere to begin with and were just there to distract us leading up to the movie,, but i dont see that being the case, and its probably something so obvious that well all smack ourselves when its found. And thats why its been missed cause its something so obvious no one has thought otherwise to look a little deeper into it. and im also sure its in something we already have, as opposed to something we havent found at all yet. Maybe the manga will tie it all up, well just have to wait and see, as much as that sucks. Thanks again to kosmopol for the great translations in the manga thread

I don't think the ARG/E is dead...it shall rise again! Like a zombie. A slusho-guzzling, 350ft tall bat/squid/shark zombie.
The manga ends when the DVD comes out...coincidence? I think not.
Edit: Oh, it appears there's already an answer to the topic question. Guess I shoulda looked
But does that mean we can take down the "Successfully Completed" tag on the main page? If it's going to continue, then it's not really completed, is it?
But I suppose you could call it a new ARG/E entirely, because, well...it's no longer concerning a release date of 1-18-08. I'm interested to see where and how it continues, because Cloverfield was my first ARG/ARE/Viral Marketing/Whatever you wanna call it, so it'll always have a special place in my heart...until it explodes from a parasite bite.
