Texas ARGers - Apollocon '08 - Houston - June 27-29
Possible ARG panel/session needs panelists!

I've been talking to the programming director of Apollocon, and she is interested in possibly adding at least one panel featuring Alternate Reality Gaming to the programming. I'm putting together a proposal to send to the committee this weekend.

What I'd like to ask is this: would any of you Texas folks, OR anyone who doesn't mind traveling to Houston for the con, be interested in participating in this panel? This entails being up in front of a crowd, talking about ARGs, what they are, how they are evolving, etc. I do not have details yet about what they do for their panelists as far as hotel accomodations, etc., but I will pass that information on as soon as I have it.

This is a sf/fantasy literature con more than a gaming con, so we'd like to focus on ARG as a narrative genre as well as a game. If the panel goes through, we need about three to five people to make it a good, informative panel with lively discussion.

If you're interested in either being on the panel or knowing more about the convention, comment here, or email me at brandie.minchewSPLATgmail. Include some info about your background with ARGs so that I can pass this on to the committee. You do not have to have PMed a game to be on the panel. I just need to know a little bit about your experience with the genre.

Thanks, folks!
