GREAT POST!

I agree 100% with everything you have said.

the Military were correctly portrayed, for the most part, and the citizens reactions were actually VERY realistic ... contrary to what many think here on UnFiction.

bravo, Mr. Muffin!

Still................

My view on the calm of crowds being evacuated down the streets in a orderly fashion still seems unrealistic when taken in context of the carnage that was occuring behind them.

You have several towers being knocked over just blocks away with a giant monster clearly in view of doing the damage. I just didn't seem convinced that people would, knowing this as it's happening still procede to calmly walk down the streets towards safety.

I just don't buy it. My one gripe with this movie to honest with you.

The buildings getting knocked down happened several minutes before the evacuation, not during it. That may seem like a short time, but that's plenty of time for the military to get people to calm down and follow them out.

again... it's very realistic.

I'm all with Mr. Muffin on this issue

we are strictly discussing the Bridge scene right now because that is practically the only scene when there is a large group calmly evacuating.

there is no carnage happening near them. the Monster is nowhere in that scene until his tail, or whatever, pops out of the water (?) or whatever.

when that happens obviously people scramble and scream. that's realistic. anyone would be scared but if they can not see the Monster, why would they be freaking out?

Their reaction was SO realistic. Unlike those cheesy bullshit reactions in the old Japanese "Godzilla" movies

this felt real. I really liked it.
