How did you all get these boxes to begin with? Is there a mailing list with physical addresses I don't know about somewhere? You sign up for something somewhere?

We're dealing with a very experienced PM (team) who have previous ARG player contact information in the database - along with non-ARG people who will likely show up in here as they receive their packages and Google around to find this thread (and the wiki).

In such a campaign, having experienced ARG players in on the early trailhead sets up the organizational tools for the new folks to learn & play along side (rather than being totally clueless). I suspect there is something big behind this.

And the website is probably offline to us while they are testing out all the stuff that will be showing up on 3-3-08 (now, will that be midnight PST or someother set time)? From there we find her, then we find eachother (which many of us already have done but we'll probably have a good gathering place for the non-uF folks to meet us), then we find him.... it's set out for us with expected days for updates. This is nice pre-planning.

I'm pretty sure this was all shipped out of the a PO and FedEx near the Mission District of San Francisco.

Thanks. I just can't wait until I receive an anonymous, unrequested package in the mail that will freak out my wife and make her call the local Bomb Disposal Unit.

you know on one the it had the number 315 written on it. maybe that is the time that the website opens up, cause postal carriers could only write on the box if it was going back to the sender

According to the address on the box, 315 is the apartment/condo number, where the recipient lives.

That's SpaceBass's info if I'm not mistaken.

Okay, I've posted a description of the box I got from T.L. Ring here.

My postcards are the crowd on the soccer field, the "Stadion" building, and the long jump field.

The back of my "fortune" says "You will soon hear an unusual confession."

Aliendial, can you check what the back of the slip of paper says? So far, it looks like most of them have said different things.

aliendial replied, screwing up myf's original post (for which aplolgies have been offered) and reposting here so the information won't be missed by those only reading new posts:

Sorry, busy day yesterday. I got the quote about becoming the stuff of legend.

The wiki is looking good, thebruce.
But, there are quite a few discrete parts to keep track of and I'm working on a spreadsheet to hold the basic package content info.
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ptjhtHIOvvyRKA_B1E8J1Bg
Could I get those that have received a package to check their entries?
Even if the row is filled out, I'd like to be sure the pictures are all in the correct columns. PM/whatever me with any changes.
Thanks.
If anyone wants edit rights, just send me an email address.

Rogi - my package contents are listed a couple of pages ago. Only thing missing is the outside of my box, which says "this is a clew! 03.03.08"

Oops! I didn't realize it wasn't your box. I was just scanning the comments. As ARGers we often post publicly about where and when we're going to be and I was concerned about your privacy and/or safety. I am very sorry if I said something to offend you, though I must admit I'm confused as to what it could have been. Confused

Ref# on www.findthelostring.com (sun 2 mar)

As are we all, I believe. However, that Reference number looks rather suspicious:

Quote:
Reference #18.58e5640.1204447160.17e6426d

It increments on every page load, and doesn't seem to mind what the page is (I've tried /test.html /work.html /string.html /blue.html /honey.html). I'm suspecting it's a timestamp of some sort.
