I'd do it, but I'm at work and have a lot of pressing stuff to get done. Hanging out on YouTube wouldn't look good to the people who keep stopping by my desk. Not that hanging out on here is that much better. Very Happy

Markus second message
Translation

After following this for the whole day here is my small contribution

Hey, it's me again, Markus.

First of all I'd like to say thank you very much, to all of you for trying to help us all but also I'd like to say that I'm full of fear. I don't know who is behind all of this. I can explain that one person wakes up with amnesia, but six persons, this I simply can't explain. There must be someone behind all this.

I mean, what if, the person that is behind this...I don't know... How can you get amnesia without anybody knowing what is happening.

I simply don'T know who could be behind all of this, if you know where I am right now, please, don't tell anybody, I fear for my life.

One person with amnesia I can understand, but six persons at once, there has to be something behind it. That's simply too much for me to, well I don't know, I can't understand it.

Maybe I'm simply paranoid, but I'm thinking people are following me, people are after me. When I'm running along the street I always look back if somebody is after me.

I want you to keep on looking for any clues, anything that couzld explain why all of us got into such situations but I want you to be very careful with it.

If we appeared so easily, maybe we can dissappear as easy, too. I fear for my life.

Note from Larissa

Please excuse me -- I'm at work, out of the loop, not yet caught up on the last 10 pages (!) of postings, but I did get a message from Larissa on Youtube:

Quote:

Translation (my polishing babelfish):
Quote:
Yes, Renata was very athletic. She was very focussed and meditative. She had a tattoo like that of Ariadne, trovu la ringon perditan. Thanks for trying to help me, as I live with the memory of my friend for four years.

Since I'm not caught up, please let me know what other questions might be helpful (like her email address, other friends she had, etc.).

Eli Hunt's vidcasts on dotsub are here:

Conveniently enough, they have been pre-subtitled into Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese...

So it's pretty clear what we're supposed to do with them..

Direct link to the second podcast which isn't on the main Eli site yet.
http://dotsub.com/films/theancient/index.php?autostart=true&language_setting=en_2944

The second podcast details the agonothetai (of which there were 6), ancient gamekeepers of the Oympics with religious ties. Eli found stories regarding the Paliki chamber where information relating to the agonothetai and the ancient games was hidden.

One of the bits of information related to the 6 ttributes of the athlete, which are unlike what we would expect (speed, strength, etc).

They were
sofia = wisdom
thumos = courage
chanilon = charm
dikaiosune = leadership
sophrosune = temperence
mythopeia = storytelling

I should be working and not reading this stuff, so I don't have time for the full transcript.

.W.

I think, WE are the olympians described here.

Wisdom.. our collective hivemind
Courage.. our willingness to go places and do things in the interest of the game.
Charm.. our ability to communicate with characters in such a way that they trust us enough to open up to us.
leadership.. great leaders here. you know who you are.
temperence.. ya lost me here... Wink
storytelling.. duh!

I've sent an email to Larissa too, asking her more details, like what she meant in the video saying Renata didn't tell her what she found to protect her.

And where are we on the plaques (?) from the lostgame? Anyone who knows greek already on it? We have to recruit someone who know greek!

Most organizations that I know of that hold conferences like to make their list of guest speakers public, to attract more attendees. So though he says that he keeps it hidden from the public, it might be listed out there somewhere. Anyone have the time to go hunt, to see if he shows up? If we find such a conference, we might be able to find him, or at least more clues as to what why he's there.

Nevermind, he said it was in Cardiff. But, pursue further, even if it's "private"?

I see the hand of a certain recent PhD in creating for us a new sport: Olympic Blind Man's Bluff!

Although I am sure the olympic version will be a tad more challenging - like maybe using induced amnesia as a virtual blindfold so that the players have to find the game (and themselves) to win...

We could persue further, however I've kind of blown my cover and sent him exactly what he doesn't want (a tinfoil hat email). Smile

Maybe we find out where this event is and send someone? I'm also partial to slight coersion... if he really wants to stay private, perhaps we can threaten to expose him publicly (IG of course) in some way if he doesn't tell us what we want.

But that seems like brute force. There must be a more elegant method to get this guy to talk.
