Yes, as bryan said from that video. I would have capped it myself, but the one posted on BoingBoing worked fine. It flashes fast, so it's a bit elusive to stop on it with the web controls, but it's legit.

Thanks, bryanflurry and MrToasty.

I will be heading out there this evening with backup (hopefully). Since this drop is apparently Enitech, I brought my only lab coat...hopefully the universe crossover isn't too damaging.

Nice! I've been letting my inner geek down lately as I just finally got around to installing and playing Portal and Ep2 this week.

The screen cap...what is this from? I don't want to end up on a wild goose chase. Are we 100% that it isn't a gamejack?

Considering "The Resistance" responded to me with further information... Yeah, no gamejack there. Wink

Is the lab coat kevlar?

Ariock and hrmpita has found the item!

It's a CD, found in the Traveller's Mailbag - hrmpita tried the door and it was still open, and found the CD in the 2nd drawer of a filing cabinet!

More details when they check in later...

How it Came to Be that We Got the CD

Ariock came from his workplace to the city and picked me up. We went across the Golden Gate Bridge and took the first exit after the Vista Point. We drove through and beyond touristy downtown Sausalito and found 3020 Bridgeway without too much trouble, though it was kind of weird, because two separate buildings comprise the address. That just comes with the territory of swanky Marin County cities with their swanky ways of addressing things.

The only place specifically advertising 3020 as its address was Nautilus of Marin, but it didn't seem like the right place. We begin to walk around the other building and a woman comes up behind us and asks Ariock if she can help him and he asks her if she knows of any filing cabinets around here and she says no and goes into a bathroom. We continue to walk around the building, passing door after door of closed offices. I tried doors now and then, which were all, unsurprisingly, locked.

Then we got to the door for the travellers mailbag and Ariock said that people think it is the location of the filing cabinet. The door was shut and Ariock was reticent to touch it because of some alarm he saw or something. I saw nothing but an opportunity to test out my opposable thumb. I turn the handle and it is unlocked.

In all my considered brilliance, I say, "It's unlocked."

Ariock says, "It is?" and pushes the door open and we see a bunch of little p.o. boxes in a tiny room with a doorway to the right that shows an office and a man sitting at a desk.

Ariock asks him if there is something in the second drawer of a filing cabinet. The man says yes, there is, and that we said the magic words. Then he takes out a CD and shows it to us, but says we have to wait for his boss to get back before he can give it to us. So, we wait for a little bit and make idle chit chat about the situation without really trying to explain anything, because you know how it is.

After a minute or two, who should come through the door but the woman from earlier. The man hands the CD to her and she hands it to me and I compliment her on how crafty she was at acting like she knew nothing about no stinkin' filing cabinet. She laughs and says she wished she was so clever, but that she actually forgot and didn't make the connection.

I am going with her being extra crafty though, 'cause that's cooler. They were both very nice and there were two kitties in the office too. I took a few pictures, but flickr isn't working right now, so I can't post them. Sad

I will try to post them tomorrow.

That was intense! You both should do this more often Brownie

As for the date, the only connection I've come up with so far is Jazzercise.
