I think that makes sense. The names we know them by are names that they didn't get until after they lost their memory.

For the "committee" there would be no way to know what they would end up calling themselves.

Even if the people who found and gave them their names were plants, it wouldn't make sense to use those names in the authentication because it would be a dead give away for the same reason.

There is now a green dot! The one in the Nova Scotia/Quebec/Newfoundland area.

A little help, please: I can't input this "/" for some reason - that key, next to the Num Lock and the numbers doesn't seem to function in this site. I can only write the "\". Any advice?

Yeah I have the same green in eastern Canada, and my original single red dot has moved from somewhere in Asia to Western Europe.

Although as I refresh I seem to lose one or the other. Or both. Confused

Last refresh and I go home - two red dots (Asia, western europe), one green (eastern Canada), all at the same time.

I don't want to monopolize the discussion here, so if anyone has any suggestions, please PM me. The question is, I don't have that key near any of my shift keys. i think the portuguese keyboard might be different from the ones most of you are using. I think I'll have to sit out of this one!

By the way, I see 3 red dots, maybe near Denmark...

EDIT: ok thanks Taurec, i'll try that.
EDIT2: It works, thanks again!

It must be available in your symbols menu, but I suppose you'd have to reprogram a key...

And - could we be seeing different data on the map, perhaps based on our IP addresses?

On a side note to the agonothetai codes, I was thinking that perhaps each red dot corresponds to a location that the Olympics have been held at - which corresponds with the locations listed by year in the DOCS folder...

Which would put the one spotted Green dot actually in Montreal (closest possible location).

Would be much easier to draw links between them if the appearance of the dots was consistent...

An observation - I'm willing to bet the PMs assumed the players would shred the - call it a 'login' - for our amnesiacs quickly given the small universe of possible solutions. But they fed a hint anyway with Markus' email. Were we a bit slow on the uptake? The PMs just feeling helpful?
