Webmaster at Tomorrow's Talk I sent a typo alert to the webmaster. I got an auto-reply immediately, and then a personal email. Not terribly exciting but there it is.

Hi Mr. Bass,
Thanks for pointing out that mistake for me. I actually didn't do the
original work on the site. It was done before I started here, but I
have rushed to correct it anyway. The bosses here are sticklers for
making sure everything is perfect and I'm sure they would have been
upset if they saw this before it was fixed.
Thanks again for your help.

What was the typo?
And actually, this is possible info. We need to find out who "wrote" the autoreply that comes from registering as an Online Advisor for Urban Hunt. Maybe you can ask him (since you might have his trust)?

They misspelled "programs" in the second paragraph of the scroller on the main page (left out the "r").

How come?

Well if we figure out who wrote the autoreply, we might find an ally at the company who knows what happened at Dread House for sure and wants people to know the truth, right?
online advisor email autoresponder message OKay, by popular 'demand' (well, not demand, but some spec'ing), here is an email I have sent off to the webmaster @ TT to find out
1) who wrote the autoresponder email to the online advisor application (and thus the coded message).
2) find out if Ron (himself) is a 'survivor' of Dread House.

Ron,
Urbanhunt (the upcoming game produced by your studio) sounds like a great opportunity to engage my love for reality tv and internet chatting at the same time. Since you are the computer wiz, you might also have the answer to a question bugging me. Usually autoreponder messages are very short, but the one from the game site for the online advisor role was quite long. Really, it was quite detailed for an autoresponder. Very detailed.
I was interested in finding out who wrote the 'script' for the autoresponder email.
Very interested.
Obviously you don't have to answer, but it would help me understand my potential role as an online advisor.
Reply to konamouseSPLAT gmail.com?
thanks.

It probably doesn't matter, but was the typo "progams" or "pograms"?

Just to keep up the info.
Ron has not responded to my email above (except with the authresponder). I tried another email address from TT (contestant coordinator) and got another autoresponder about contestant applications for UH will not be accepted via email.
I have now also sent a version of the above email to GBoyle and RMeyer. So far, no autoresponder, and no bounce back (after 12 hours). I'll give this another 48 hours and we'll see what happens.

I love this part of your email, konamouse... very mysterious

I have also sent emails to RMeyer, and had no bounce or reply. I can't help thinking maybe they have some sort of catch-all thing on that domain, perhaps we can send emails to anythingSPLAT tomorrowstalk.com and it won't bounce.. but it won't be replied to either? Who knows.

We definitely tried this the other day in #uh - I can verify that any address @tomorrowstalk.com will not bounce...

Ah, right, I figured so. Who knows if they're even reading the ones we send to gboyle/rmeyer then I guess. That or they're just choosing not to reply..

First, I sent:
I find myself curious about the website for Tormorrow's Talk. There's
a barcode up in the upper left corner that seems kind of out of place
for this website. Is there any significance to it, maybe a reference
to a prior show? I've been interested in page layout lately and
decided to write and ask since I was checking out the site.
Ron replied with:
Hi Gordy,
Thanks for writing about the Tomorrow's Talk website. I wish I could
take credit for the current site design and answer specific questions
about it but unfortunately it was done before I came to TT Studios, by
the previous webmaster I presume.
I'm therefore not sure why that barcode-like image is included in the
page layout. It's never really made sense to me either actually, and
I've always just assumed it had something to do with the TT name or
business operations, but who knows? It seems the former webmaster did a
few things that seem curious in retrospect and that people are just now
noticing and questioning.
Take care,

Well, now we know what we have to do!
Find and contact the former webmaster. I bet he has a clue.

Since you get an auto-response from Sandra Brown, HR Dept. Has anyone tried calling her and asking who the former employee was who designed the website?

no but I will
[EDIT] Ok I just called and asked for the Director of Human resources. (A man answered the Phone) he gave me some lame excuse that Sandra was in a meeting for the rest of the day x_X yeah right. Anyway. I left my name and number. Then he asked me which company I was with. Huh!? Cause my head buzzed around for a moment. I said Dynamix and said that it was a marketting research company. So i suppose if you're intered in calling you might want to use the same name I did just so we keep on the same page.

What company are you with... sounds like they decided to give the actor on the other end a few things that might trip us up and make us stutter. I like it... they're playing the game back at us.
