Killer 6 Please somebody pay VERY close attention to this picture. It's the one in the killer messages where the webcam seems to be knocked over (Killer 6). It was stated below on the wiki page (http://bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=Killer.jpg ) "I agree that it does not appear that Dana is throwing the camera, but rather turning it to face the computer screen almost as if to show this entity what it is." I think I see the entity. This is the last frame in the slideshow on the website so I'm guessing this is when she said, "It's seen me". Here's the pic (or you can use the link). Pay close attention. Don't make me look crazy on these boards .
It looks like the profile of some evil monster. Pay attention to right-center. Here's what to look for. (I made a sort of highlighting in Paint, pretty bad but look).
Here it is:
Try comparing them to each other with different windows. Do you see anything now? This whole thing is creeping me out. Please reply to this post. I want to know if it's just me or if it really is something.

I'm probably just weirded out because I tried going to ilovebees.com/images and immediately ran into a pic of Dana looking right into the camera.
At 5 AM that can be quite disturbing.
Anyway, I don't see anything in that last frame that looks like a horrible monster. It's just the shadows playing tricks, like the Martian face thing that was in all the tabloids years back. They call it Pareidolia...I probably shouldn't play two of these games at the same time...

I see the face that you were talking about, and I find that quite creepy. Like Noir said though, it's more likely shadows playing tricks. Besides that dark part isn't anywhere close to the screen, so it's unlikely that we would see the entity, who is an AI, not a ghost, appear there anyway.
Now for something completely different:
Just to throw oil to the fire that is the discussion we have here. Anyway there are 3 "Bang!" phrases, which implies the operator only took 3 photos. Yet we have a total of 13 pics of Dana. So who took the other 10?

The brown part of the picture looks like a leather chair seat highlited by blue screen computer glair. The computer is above and to the left.

I pieced together this divx video of all the webcam pics so far. I used the corrupted pics too. They give it a creepy look.

Ok, here's what I want to know:
How did the PMs insert text into the Killer jpegs? I want to duplicate this process for my own use. I tried downloading several tools for steganography but they all do the same thing(encript a file within a photo, only to be opened and viewed in the same application)
I want to be able to embed my text message in the jpeg so that it can be viewed with the image is opened in notepad.
So, I want to know how did they do it? What program did they use? And where can I get it?

yeah, I tried that one. all it does is make the image corrupt so you can't view it. So that idea doesn't work.

Try placing the text at the end. If I recall correctly, jpeg readers are supposed to stop reading the file after the number of bytes defined in the file header have been read in to the program, so anything after that should be ignored. I just tried this with a second, different jpeg to make sure it works. Unfiction's forums show a preview image, so you will have to click that to get the real image that has the text in it.

bcriswell,
What was the text that you added to this picture. I just downloaded the picture after displaying it and openied it up notepad. the only word I saw that made any sense was Angle. Was that your addition?

never mind i figured it out. i saved it as a bitmap first then saved it as a jpeg. then the text showed. obvious but cool.

I tried inserting text into the middle of a Gif. This should be possible somehow because it's done on ilovebees...but my gif ended up being about ten times larger vertically than it should have been and everything below about five pixels from the top was blank. This with the addition of a paltry fifty or so characters.

You should not need to do that. However, you do need to click the preview image so that you get the "real" image, as unfiction automatically creates a smaller image to save bandwidth. I just checked by saving the real image as a jpeg and was able to find the text directly.
