[SPEC] Dreadhouse audio? The article on audio on Urban Mythology and the end tag line "Keep this in mind next time you visit a haunted house" seems to indicate that -maybe- there's something embedded in the audio of the only haunted house website we know about, good old Dreadhouse.com.
Has anyone tried doing things to the music of this site? Slow it down, listen to it in reverse, or try to pick out the odd beeping sounds I can faintly hear mixed in with the music? (I think they're cued to the ripples in the background...)

I can decompile it and put up the audio files here so we can all analyze but I'm still at work ftm. If someone can beat me to it, go ahead. We haven't had an audio puzzle in UH so... who knows :p

Well... first 2 already extracted with a trial version of some software. I'll do the rest in a bit. Here they are:

That does sound like the annoying hum mentioned on UrbanMythology.net
Who can get the background music from the flash?

And the last three sounds I found in the flash:

Okay. From what I can tell, the seperate sound files will help in recognizing the noises. But there's nothing hidden in them alone.
However, these sounds (particuarly the beeping sound effect) are triggering by themselves in the actual site audio. Can anyone pick out... is there morse code in there? That's my first thought. There's a distinct sound every time a leaf blows off the tree in the background, which leaves a very distinct visual trail. Is it calling attention to something?
I think this is the best lead we've got, I'm afraid.

here are links to mp3s of the sounds from dreadhouse.
and these arent the same as the other files posted here. i just recorded these from the background sounds on the site, both the flash intro and the main page.
ive tried reversing, filtering noise, high filter, low filter, but can't find anything interesting.

I tried decompiling the dreadhouse flash (something im a complete novice at btw) and couldnt find anything very interesting.
what really puzzled me was that the background music, the stuff you can turn off or on with the icon in the bottom left corner, that isnt in the dhsite.swf flash. i cant figure out how to get to it.
anybody already try this?

They may be streaming it off of a server. I'll see what I can find with a packet sniffer.

The beeping sound when slowed down is 4 short beeps followed by a long one
which i guess mores code wise would be the number 4

Interestingly, that's the same way the Urban Hunt into is set up.
www.urbanhunt.com/uhtheme.swf
has the music and background only.
