SODC puzzle?

I noticed right away two colored bands on the SODC floorplan on the master bedroom pic. Jenn also caught one in bedroom3, over the fishnets. Images attached.

The symbols look like flipped gammas (inverted gamma?). I don't have quality imaging software here, so I can't play.

Home blueprint oddity

Notice the dotted line? It's a hypotenuse. I just talked with an architect I know and he said that it would be pertinent in a business, as a way of defining exits needed, but in a residence it doesn't have a function that he knows about.

We know its length since we know the other two sides.

a squared + b squared = c squared (the hypotenuse)

a = 14 (height) so a squared is 196
b = 11+15 (26) so b squared is 676
196+676=872
c squared is 872 so the length of that dotted line (fwiw) is
29.52964612 feet
354.3557534 inches

Well, <rubbing hands together> that's another one solved.

Home blueprint oddity

for what it's worth:
in the pythagorean blueprint theory, b=13+15, not 11+15

i'll go back to lurking now

absolutely

Doh. Idea You are 100% correct.
I was doing too many things at once. Let's fix the numbers.

a = 14, and squared is 196
b is indeed 13+15=28 and squared is 784
the sum is 980 = c squared
so c is 31.30495168 feet or
375.6594202 inches or 954.1749274 cm.

Or, the area bounded by that triangle would be 0.5x(14x28) and so
196 square feet or 28224 square inches or 182089.9584 sq cm.

This is SO obvious, I'll leave it to someone else to tell me what it means.

Someone?... Sad

Spec: Total square footage equals 1402

Just for S&G's I added up the total square footage (LxW) of all the rooms and came up with 1402. Perhaps 14, February, the date of the accident. Is this significant?

Also the 2020 in the garage is puzzling as well as the 6 eyes. Could the eyes signify hidden cameras or something more mystical.

I'm beginning to believe this is the floorplan to Dale's house.

I haven't heard if anyone has popped some of these numbers onto the end of a site address. The most obvious place to start would be on the Sons of Don site.

I also have to admit I found it interesting that there were only six eyes in the floorplan. Do 6 eyes factor into any of the lore we have found to date?

Thoughts?

I'm with you on the eye and the dotted line being part of a puzzle. I've never seen floor plans with that on them for a residence.

Look at the floor plan: http://www.sonsofdon.com/sodhome.html

Why are the lines in the closets drawn that way? It reminds me of the tree branches in the slider puzzle. I've never seen a house floor plan that had those kinds of lines in it, and even if they are supposed to be there why are some slanted?

blueprint

Dale's house? Good spec!

If you look at the garage, it appears to be 20x20 in size. I wonder if it's a glitch and simply supposed to be the measurements that don't pop up like in the other rooms.

Have you tried clicking on the eyes? I know I didn't for the longest time. They just bring up photos of their rooms...well, the 4 that work do.

Jenn brought this up in #ctw. Here is a magnified image of the compass found at http://www.sonsofdon.com/sodhome.html in the floorplan. She noticed that the E for East is on the left, and it should be on the right.

Here's the url for the file. (this is a cross-post)

The only thing I am aware of with E and W reversed like that is a starchart (e.g. a planisphere). They are designed so that when they are held overhead the directions are correct.
