 		[Chat] Ariadne 3-17 (Re: Personality Test)
Okay, the short version is that Page 2 of the Cardiff artifact is actually a personality test. Ariadne wants to make an online version of this test on her website so we can all take it and find out what our agonothetai attribute is.

Using the return we get from the Attribute Commands we take each INDIVIDUAL line from the list and assign it to one of the six attributes. The lines are grouped into threes as a red herring, each line should be considered on it's own merit.

I'm going to create what I think is the answer key to this test, I've been studying them for my MBA management class, but I'd like a couple of other people to give a crack at it as well. That way we can consolidate several versions by several people and hopefully rule out any personal bias any one person has for a particular attribute.

EDIT: The main point here is to match up each line with its dominant trait. We can decide on Yes/No or scale later.

That should help us identify each attribute to a strength pretty good

 		I had a conversation with her too. You got more detail from her, but with me, she agreed that we ought to be able to backsolve using what we have, in order to match the answers with the archetypes. She specifically mentioned the "test" missing an answer "key". I'm a bit behind (couldn't follow over the weekend), so I have to catch up before I can contribute to the solve.

 		LoL. I thought about that from the beginning on. When you read Jane's interview for the SXSW event then you knew that we, the players, have to find our strength. And when I read the Cardiff document I already tried to find the one that suited me the best Very Happy

So we have (from the omphaputer):

SOFIA (Mei Hui):
You bring wisdom, creativity and cleverness to our mission.
You will be one of our knowledge-seekers.

THUMOS (Markus):
You bring courage, energy and determination to our mission.
You will be one of our adventurers.

CHARITON (Lucie):
You bring heart, humanity and charm to our mission.
You will be one of our connectors.

DIKAIOSUNE (Ariadne):
You bring leadership, direction, and focus to our mission.
You will be one of our pilots.

SOPHROSUNE (Noriko):
You bring balance, self-control and an open mind to our mission.
You will be one of our advisers.

MYTHOPOEIA (Diego):
You bring optimism, vision, and artistry to our mission.
You will be one of our truth-finders.

And from the document 33 lines + again a little summary of the athletes strengths (note: it's a translation from Esp to Eng so it won't be exactly like the words from the omphaputer):

Sofia makes givers of knowledge.
Thumos makes adventurers.
Chariton makes friends.
Dikaiosune makes leaders.
Sophrosune makes counsellors.
Mythopoeia makes truth-finders.

 		Hm.. by answer key, does she mean something like "if you answered mostly As/ Bs/ Cs, you're likely to be blah blah blah..." ??

My brain is a little slow at the moment... it's pretty late here and I'm still stuck here with my assignment... Razz

 		Actually, I started listing the line #'s of the descriptions, from 1-33. Each person's description has three adjectives. Take Mei Hui's:

That matches with:
#31: I make wise decisions.
#13: I can create order out of chaos.
Could be #6: I am an original thinker.

Make sense?

So I would start to continue matching those up. Then we might have a list of used lines with numbers, and a list of unused lines as well.

 		If there are 6 strengths and 33 "questions" in the text... that would make 5.5 questions for each strength, so I guess each question should give some points towards different strengths. I wonder if this test is another puzzle, or just something we are going to help create...

I've also listed as additional possible attributes for Mei Hui:

I am always inquisitive.

I've given MYTHOPOEIA a shot:
You bring optimism, vision, and artistry to our mission.
You will be one of our truth-finders.

I believe that I have a strong goal in a life. ("vision")
I am optimistic about the future. ("optimism")
I always see the beauty around me. ("artistry"; also, I think "truth" could be a form of beauty)

And perhaps also:
I am a very careful person.
I can create order out of chaos. (in the sense of finding the "Truth" in everything)

 		Test Strategy
I would like to suggest another test strategy:

If people should judge how well one "question" fit (1-6) I guess this will lead to a quite uniformly distributed result, because all things are positive and it is hard to make small relative judgements.

So my suggestion:
Keep the grouping like it is. People have to decide which statement of a group fits best to their character. Then count the "checked" statements.

Example:
Q1:
A. I like being in control.
B. I believe that everyone's opinion is important.
C. I relate well with people.

I would take C which will add one point in direction of DIKAIOSUNE (taking Tenchizards categorization)

Q2:
A: I approach a life with adventure.
B: I love to make other people happy.
C: I am an original thinker.

I would take again C adding one point to SOFIA.

and so on...

Because there are 11 questions there should be one winner. But this has to be checked somehow. I will try to find out, if there can be a draw. BTW trying to avoid a draw can give a hint how the attributes are distributed.
