I'm sorry guys... Let me just firstly explain the reasons behind me suddenly dropping the project and without doing it creatively too.

Basically I found out 35 minutes ago that my mum was rushed into hospital at 2am this morning, with what could possibly be Emphysema... I'm a student w/ no money and living at least an hr away from my parents and so have no way of getting there atm... But I am also thinking about the possibility of having to move home to help look after her; therefore I am sure you guys can understand me just... 'Pulling the curtain up' suddenly so to speak.

Besides the game in general wasn't doing too well and I take full responsibility for that. - It was an experiment, my first ever ARG which was running *mainly* on the interactions you guys (the players) were making... I'd like to apologise for always encoding stuff and not making more creative puzzles (they were actually on the way heh)

And I'd also like to apologise to Dposse for the way Bianca treated him - But I feel the need to justify and explain that. Through the creation of this story Richard was never meant to find out what he could do until he'd met w/ Stanford hence the name of the Project "Omission" as you guys all figured out it means something to the effect of "something left out" - Bianca's character was that of a stubborn, bitchy, stedfast girl who did only as she was told and followed orders to the letter.

And in addition to that... You guys were Never pissing me off lol... If my characters were acting argumentative and stern it's just because that was their personalities. I assure you.

But. IF Richard had been told there was to be a very un-friendly endgame; I just wanted to explain that...

Now - If you guys have any questions or anything pertaining to 'the next few days' or w/e of the game or questions about 'what was supposed to' etc. - Feel free. I'm sitting here doing nothing but waiting on a phonecall from my dad right now.

No worries here. I don't watch TV, so most of it was new to me. Wink

Regardless, you're concentrating on what's truly important right now. My best wishes and healing thoughts to you and your family. Smile

Thanks both of you...

Oh and I just wanted to say in my defense I have never watched either Jericho or Journeyman [I live in the UK and don't have Cable] so I didn't steal any of that info...

TX Suceedin or w/e has always been an idea for an ARG I might do and I felt the need to plunk it in this one when ppl were asking me to give them stories from the newspaper lol

Sorry it came over so unoriginal, I promise I'll do more research and such next time! This was all in all just a practice run.

I hope I didn't offend you in my comment about all the encoding... God, I gotta be more obvious when you're not supposed to take me seriously! Wink

I didn't follow the storyline that much I admit, and didn't know what was going on, but I was entertained through the encodings.

Anyway, all that's in the past. You have your priorities now, and I don't think anyone here will hold anything against you because of that.

Take care of your family; we wish you all the best.

I loved this game and found it very exciting.. I felt like I couldn't turn away for 5 mins in case something was updated and i would have to jump to the next thing...!!!

Leyton I was impressed in the backstory of the characters.. I felt like IMO the people felt real and had a very good "sense" about them...

Like I have said, I have never watched any of the shows mentioned and I think this game was done very sci-fi-ish... Can't wait until the next one...!!!

Well, that's depressing. Sad Apology accepted, man. Bianca was a real bitch. I was half ready to quit and/or pull the curtain up on this game myself after she ranted at me. The beliefs that Bianca held about not telling Richard was so morally corrupted, it pissed me off. Knowledge is power, and wars are never won with fists (see: Iraq, Vietnam, ect). Not telling Richard about his fate is leaving him unprepared and ready for attack. After all that time that we got getting to know Richard and liking the guy, that was a real hard slap in the face.

Also, your story sucked. Time travel is so hard to believe in on the internet. This ARG was interesting in the early stages when it was just a conspiracy in a company and an unsolved murder.

So, how was this whole thing supposed to end? What was supposed to happen after we found "Richie rich" and Richard's past blog? Oh, and your "characters" should have told you that we found out the answer. You sent that email from Stanford too late.

I'm sorry about your mom. I hope she gets better.

Yeah, because thanks to the Internet a self-aware mainframe, vampires, tachyon cameras, alien parasites, a skyscraper-sized monster and killer robots are much more believable... Rolling Eyes

no, because blogs like livejournal have a record of when the blog was created making them not very believable. Richard's "oh my god, a newspaper from teh future???/" was really weak. just my opinion, but if you want to create an ARG, it has to be somewhat believable even if it's scifi.

Compare that to, say, Rachael's blog and videos from the Lost Experience? Those weird videos from the Cloverfield ARG? Much better.

Heh. like he said, this was just an experiment. it's cool. i was enjoying it, even if only for a distraction.

Just in case you didn't know, multi-million dollar comapnies were backing those projects...

And a regular college student with a vision did this one...

dposse when you have a game created, make sure to send me a trail head so I can critique your every flaw... and bash your first attempt at a game..

I feel very hostile towards you now when I was trying to neutralize the situation earlier... Now I'm just getting pissed...

You didn't have to stay around and play the game, but you did.. something must have kept you from going away and playing something else... Give him a break....!!!!!!

That was awesome! It was a really great ARG, please don't think that it sucked at all. It was a lot of fun, and I really hope your mother does better...
