Ah, but might we make a distinction between the ability to invent an original story (MYTHOPOEIA, vision, artistry) and the ability to tell the story to others in a way most accessible to them (SOFIA, creativity, cleverness)?

(Yes, I'm just trying to rationalize things so that the assignments come out nicely. Please feel free to keep playing with it.)

... You and your logic!

The test has already been made. We're just trying to figure out what the answer key is.

Ah, but might we make a distinction between the ability to invent an original story (MYTHOPOEIA, vision, artistry) and the ability to tell the story to others in a way most accessible to them (SOFIA, creativity, cleverness)?
You could also argue that
* a well told tale stirs people to adventure (Thumos)
* stories bind a group together, and teach us about humanity (Chariton)
* some great leaders tell stories to provide direction to their followers (Dikaiosune)
* some stories are moralistic, and show that sometimes the right decision isn't the easy one (Sophrosune)
but that would be overthinking the matter. I think we should leave the storytelling to Mythopoeia.

Likewise I feel that the following statements belong to Chariton (forges links between people/creates a team/helps people be friends)
* I often help to retain harmony in my group.
* I help others cooperate well.
To me, these statements are the epitome of Chariton.

So where do things stand now? Has anyone sent an updated test to Ariadne?

Yes, I've sent her the answer key since there seemed to be a consensus.

I've started a new thread with Eli's reply to an email asking if he knew anything about the missing questions... he does.

You can link through to the reply HERE.

Thanks Mr. Judkins!

So that gives us a pretty good key and we can tell the difference between "So" and "so"!

At the risk of being annoying with a double post, the information Judkins got from hunt means we need to rethink out key a bit.

Here is a google doc of the key as it stands.

I've gotten "oy" and switched "story-teller" to Myth in light of the new info. Any suggestions about other changes?

It needs to lose one MYTHOPOEIA and gain one DIKAIOSUNE in order to come out even.

Refresh the page and tell me if you agree with that.

I agree that Thumos is adventure. What's your retionalle for the leader preferring actions to words? Dunno if that makes sense to me.

Re: [Chat] Ariadne 3-17 (Re: Personality Test)
Re: re-re-revision!

Okay, okay. Given the new information from Mr. Hunt:

Question No. 1
I like being the boss. (DIKAIOSUNE, leadership)
I believe that everyone's opinion is important. (SOPHROSUNE, listening)
I'm an excellent story teller. (MYTHOPOEIA, storytelling)

Question No. 2
I approach a life like it's an adventure. (THUMOS, exploring)
I like to please other people. (CHARITON, helping)
I am an original thinker. (SOFIA, thinking)

Question No. 3
I hate to see somebody suffer, even my worst enemy. (CHARITON, humanity)
I believe that I have a strong goal in a life. (DIKAIOSUNE, direction)
I am always curious. (SOFIA, learning)

Question No. 4
I am extremely loyal. (CHARITON, heart)
I like overcoming obstacles. (THUMOS, determination)
I like to clarify matters to others. (SOPHROSUNE, guiding)

Question No. 5
I can create order out of chaos. (DIKAIOSUNE, organizing)
I am optimistic about the future. (MYTHOPOEIA, optimism)
I am a very careful person. (SOPHROSUNE, self-control)

Question No. 6
I can empathize with others. (CHARITON, humanity)
I have a huge imagination. (MYTHOPOEIA, vision)
I do not yield. (THUMOS, courage)

Question No. 7
I like to have all the facts. (SOFIA, learning)
I'm fascinated by other lands and cultures. (MYTHOPOEIA, vision)
I often help to retain harmony in my group. (SOPHROSUNE, balance)

Question No. 8
I am never too busy to help a friend. (CHARITON, helping)
People describe me as full of energy. (THUMOS, energy)
I can always see the big picture. (DIKAIOSUNE, direction)

Question No. 9
Others come to me for advice. (SOPHROSUNE, guiding)
When I plan, I make sure that they succeed. (DIKAIOSUNE, planning)
Even if I don't like someone, I deal with them fairly. (SOFIA, wisdom)

Question No. 10
I prefer action to a words. (DIKAIOSUNE, leadership)
I help others cooperate well. (SOPHROSUNE, balance)
I believe that everything happens for a reason. (MYTHOPOEIA, optimism)

Question No. 11
I make wise decisions. (SOFIA, wisdom)
I always see the beauty around me. (MYTHOPOEIA, vision)
I am never bored. (THUMOS, playing)

Question No. 12
I can keep a secret. (CHARITON, heart)
I always face my fears. (THUMOS, courage)
I love to learn new things. (SOFIA, wisdom)

Six for everyone! (I particularly like that the first two questions together ask about each of the six exactly once.) Unfortunately questions #1 and #5 are duplicates, and now #2 and #12 are also duplicates. I still firmly believe this to be incorrect.

shad0, I was just suggesting the same sofia and sophrosune swap. Totally agree with that.

I'm not sure about that one either. Would it make more sense to leave that one as Thumos, and change "I do not yield" in #6 to Dikaiosune? Not giving up could be a leadership trait...

(It's gonna turn out that there's no reason to have six questions for each type. I just know it.)
