I'd start by contending that the letters don't mean anything, but that the medium is where I'd look for a clue. It would be possible to have the right sequence of letters to upper or lower-case to make a cogent statement, but I'm looking at it from more of a numerical-sequence-encoded sort of thing.
e.g., using the number of capitals/lower case in a row
1-2-4-1-1-2-1-3-2-2-3-2-1-2-1
1-2-1-1-2-2-1-1-1-1-2-1-3-2-2
1-1-1-4-1-6-3-1-1-3 (that 6 sticks out like a sore thumb)
2-2-1-1-1-1-3-2-1-2-3-2-1
2-2-1-4-1-3-2-1-1

OK, taking lowercase as 0 and uppercase as 1:

Running the string
0110000101101110011000110110100101100101011011100101010000100000011101000110010101110010011100100110111101110010
through a binary translator gives us:
da... da... dum:
"ancient terror"
though there seems to be some question as to whether the "t" in ancient is capitalised.
EDIT: I used the binary translator at http://nickciske.com/tools/binary.php . In firefox, everything is lowercase. In IE, the T in ancient is in caps.
ancientterror.html isn't on deadpoems though

here is what ive tried that came up nil:
substitution cipher on both caps and small caps
vignere cipher on both caps and small caps
morse code
anagrams
for some reason, i got a different string of 1s and 0s than you did when i tried the binary. ill try again, but seeing as how hard it would be to come up with those words through chance, id say its confirmed.

Garr, can't believe I missed all the fun, again! Good work guys.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ancient Terror... could it be an email address, then, if not a page? ancientterrorSPLAT deadpoems.com? Hum.
The new picture on the foreword is kinda creepy.. 'deathangel.jpg'

fishing I tried all the obvious web pages for it
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(www.ancientterror.com, etc)
and googled it, but nothing there either.
I wonder how this is related to Ann's two stories - that of digging up the graves for the chapel, and the disappearing attendant?

Welcome to the community lucca
Are those stories you talk off linked to Ann? I take you are talking about the stories at the CMH website?

Yes... specifically this part from the one story
Quote:
Before long, workmen reported hearing strange tonal vibrations coming from within the earth and seeing vague shapes resembling the human form. Some reported these apparitions following them around like lost lambs. One man alleged he had been accompanied home by one of these ghostly figures, and that she began residing in his house, wailing day and night

Tonal Vibrations, eh?
Would this be related to the urbanmythology.net sound article- in turn related to dreadhouse.com background noise?

I liked blag's theory, but wasn't satisfied with the translator he used, so I wrote my own translator, and re-ran his decryption.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The output I got was a perfect translation to "ancient terror" with all letters in lowercase, the space in the correct place, and no binary digits left over. This is way too unlikely to be a coincidence, so the phrase is definitely deliberate.
I would vote for marking this puzzle solved.
As for whether it's a real lead, a red herring, or just a general reference to something we'll see later on, who knows.

Well I think we all agree on that being the solve for the message. But is the puzzle really solved? If this is a puzzle, it must lead to "something". And quite frankly, I'm not satisfied :p There must be more to it.

1st Rule of Fight Club, the players get a cookie when they solve a puzzle. We didn't get our cookie yet, so we must be missing something.
Could it be both Anagram and Binary? We had some really interesting stuff coming out of some of the anagrams

I'm with those who say this isn't solved yet - I feel a solve should only come when we've worked out where to use the information we've discovered.
One thought: didn't someone find a username/password reference in the TT flash file?
[META] the binary translator I used is linked from http://unfiction.com/resource/otools.html - since this one is causing some confusion, is there a better one we could replace it with? Schnell-Davis, is yours in a web-friendly format?
