Fraternity of Weavers/wantedmovie.com Whenever a movie trailer says "Choose your own destiny, join us." I get the impression that I need to check out their web-site.
This is what the trailer for the movie "WANTED" said and the end provided the web address: www.wantedmovie.com.
Going to that site and clicking on one of the bullets after clicking on "VISIT US SITE" leads you to:
http://www.fraternityofweavers.com/
where there is a sign up form and a few other links, some of which have no content.
I will be keeping an eye on this one in the hopes that something will come of it.
P.S. I did a search before making this post, I did not see anything.

under "The Cathars" article (at the end)
Quote:
March 16th
The last known defenders of the faith walked out of the Cathar fortress of Montsgur on March 16, 1244 and delivered themselves to their enemy.
Wearing their ceremonial garments and jewelry for the first and only time in front of their foes, these 200 men and women descended the slope of Montsgur. While singing and rejoicing, they then walked calmly onto funeral pyres at the stroke of noon .
After the fires subsided, enemy soldiers sifted the ashes for gold, silver, and jewels, while others stormed the fortress to loot it. Yet the ashes yielded nothing, and the fortress was empty.
Instead of defeat and extermination, that hour at Montsgur saw the Cathar's greatest victory, and the Fraternity of Weavers celebrates its anniversary to this day.
a start date?...if not, I would at least assume SOMETHING will happen with this on that day

"Decoding the Weave" looks promising for CF-ish behavior, at any rate.
I also like how the signup has you sign your name...very nice font on that.

Ok I'm in. I'm also going to check out the WANTED graphic novel tommorrow at my local comic store. Yeah the handwriting for our name is cool.

i found this when i got the page info thing and it came out to say
If you are fit to be amongst the Elect you will decipher the codes accompanied by the sign of the Fraternity. to be amongst the Elect you will decipher the codes accompanied by the sign of the Fraternity. 041108
i think the 041108 is
April 11, 2008

Cool just a factoid....The comic the movie is loosely based on stopped being issued in 2003. So they're really hard to find now.
I have the 5th issue (October), found while rummaging around my local comic store. I'm wondering if they'll release an actual omnibus edition of all the issues. I'm just wondering if the actual comics are going to play a role in this...I'm thinking probably not.

I found them available in Trade on Amazon yesterday for cheap. I'm not familiar with the series so that's really all I can tell you about it.

I guess its no secret what this is meant to advertise... The movie looks like it might be pretty good.. And the backstory reminds me of the XBOX360 game Assassin's Creed, which was amazing, so of course I had to sign up.

Yeah it's a cool backstory. I love the whole secret organization thing.

The Frat's an organization in the Wanted graphic novel - check it out. It's a love-hate thing for the fans (I'm a CBR member, and it's either you love Millar's work or hate it). I didn't read all of it, but apparently it's the group of villains that the protagonist is working for.
