Awesome. So are there any we're looking for/at now?

There's a red dot in NW America that's been identified as Boise, Idaho. There's a green dot in India/Pakistan region that's Lunglei - which has just yielded its first location - Sydney! So once that's recovered (either today or Friday, I think), expect a yellow to dot to show up in Australia. And... I think there's another one. Oh, right! Ribnitz-Damgarten, Germany, has a second site in Brussels (or Bruxelles as the omphaputer accepts) that we're trying to get Lucie, one of the athletes, to pick up (after all, Ariadne picked up the Cardiff one). Once that's done, there will be a yellow dot in Belgium as well.

Other than that, I don't think there's any. There's a proper thread for the dots. Check out the sticky thread 'dots, dots and more dots'.

EDIT: Sorry, I put Dongying. It's actually Ribnitz-Damgarten.

Has anyone told Hunt about the discovery of this graph and equation? Seeing as the notes Hunt found make reference to waveforms, he may well be very interested in this (and/or have insight to share).

So it seems that right now we're looking at Sydney and Idaho, yes?

Would seem to be the case...Wish they were closer to me (New England, I'll gladly hike to boston and what not if need be)...

unknownwarrior, we're currently looking at Sydney and Brussels; those are the two locations that we've found most recently, and are currently waiting for people to go pick up the artifacts.

Isaac, I wish they were closer here too! Looking at the players who've added themselves to Eclipse Yue's player map, I seem to be the only player so far in Asia...! That can't be, right...? Anyone else here in Asia who hasn't added themselves to the map...?

I was hoping that the Lunglei omphalos would give a bearing for somewhere in Malaysia (or better yet, Singapore, where I am Very Happy), but it's gone on straight past, to Sydney... Crying or Very sad

Gerri I'm in Singapore too but silently following the forum ever since the packages were received. Which explains why I'm unregistered. Smile

Hey, guys? You know how everyone's saying they're seeing the STEPHENVILLE dot as red again?

Well... I just saw it too. Actually, not exactly. What I saw was a purple dot.

I'm thinking that maybe, MAYBE, we're now distinguishing our sites even further.

RED: inactive/pending.
GREEN: active/artifact to be recovered(/pending if you're Lunglei)
YELLOW: one artifact recovered/second pending?
PURPLE: two artifacts recovered.

What do you think? Do you see a purple, red or yellow dot at Stephenville? Or no dot at all (<-- refresh if you get that one until you do see a coloured dot at SV)?

You may be right. I just checked again, and what I guess I was assuming was a dimmer red does seem kind of purplish...

Re: Origin of the images

You write you have those images from the secret site. How did you found the images?

Well. The truth is, I downloaded the shell.swf file which is the Shockwave Flash application behind the curtains. I used a tool that is freely available for looking inside that file and found the three images I posted on my blog: The equation and both the maps.

Looking at the map with the dots, it seems that it might be the base for the globe itself. Think of it as some kind of texture mapped to a sphere. Or vice versa: What if you took the globe with all the dots and flatten it to a 2D image. It can be safely assumed that the result would pretty much look like the map I posted on my blog.

However... that leads to another interesting question: What about the second map I found? The one with the crossing lines. What is its purpose? Since it is definitely part of the application, there is supposed to be some way to activate it.

I don't know yet how that corresponds to the images, but I found hints to the terms "MediatorMap" and "ObserverMap". Does that ring a bell.. ? Anyone.. ?

Edit: Forget about the Mediator/Observer stuff. That's a dead-end and totally not related to the game. Wink

I were thinking in that last nigth... great job!!!

Don't know really where to post, but in fact I've seen a part of the equation before. Not because it's linked to rings or olympics, but because it has a relation to Esperanto.

Whatever the rest of the meaning of the formula could be, it definitely is a hint towards Esperanto, as the letter Hx (H with hat) only appears in Esperanto.

First time I saw the equation I thought: I've seen that before! And that was true, as one of my online Esperanto friends saw it at chemistry at school and posted it because of its link (only in aspect, in fact) to Esperanto.

I hope this will help...

Hm. You mean it can be read in Esperanto? I mean, read like you would read a sentence?

Or is it possible that Schrodinger spoke Esperanto? Very Happy
