Rowan's Ireland Postcard Puzzle They're Magically Delicious! Ok so I know a bunch of you got postcards from Rowan while she was in LeprechanLand.. and on said postcards was a happy fun puzzle in the form of numbers and runes...
PUZZLE! Post 'em here, doggonit!
ETA: Ok since my camera phone refuses to take a clear picture of them, here's what my two postcards have:
3: i/j
10: g
17: s
24: p

I have no digital cam handy, so I will attempt to describe the runes. Here's the runic alphabet I've been using:
http://www.omniglot.com/images/writing/asrunes.gif
I got three:
5: I can't find this symbol, but it looks like a lowercase n: |^ (like that, except the right leg of the upside-down v goes down to the same level as the vertical line. This symbol doesn't look like it's in the usual Futhark runic alphabet.
12: a vertical line. translates to "i" (or ice)
19: like an F, but with the horizontal lines crooked to valley in the middle. translates to "o" (or god)
short version:
5: (unknown) 12: i 19: o
YAY PUZZLES IN THE MAIL.
Get to it, dudes.

Got two postcards...the first one with the man exposing himself to cows has
1. d (day)
8. u (aurochs)
the second one with the ruinesque house (effing plant monster) has...
15. e (horse)
22. r (journey/riding)
So apparently I'll be riding a horse on aurochs day...whenever that is

Does this alphabet help with your unknown?

In the image, that second number looks like a 13, not 12.

So, if celina's #24 "looks like " a p (instead of being the rune for 'p'), the message translates to:
Drink your Guiness, Love Rowan
Thanks Rowan!
